Eastiny Soi 7 - New Hotel

Recommended Posts

Has anyone stayed at or have any pictures of the new Eastiny Hotel on Soi 7. It apparently just opened in the last month. This is not the Eastiny Residence on Soi 10 but the new "Eastiny Soi 7" Hotel. I am very interested in staying here but have no info on it.

I would be curious how it compares to the Eastiny Place, Flipper House/Lodge, and Eastiny Residence (soi 10).

Thanks.

I contacted the Eastiny Soi 7 and the best price I could get was 1090 per night including breakfast. They would not give me a discount (even without breakfast) but they did agree to give me a free upgrade to a room with internet connection which they say is usually 1290 (since I have to do work on this trip - I took the deal but otherwise would probably choose to stay elsewhere).

Even Eastiny Place (which I have stayed at several times for about 800 baht) is now charging 1000 baht and seem to be firm on that.

I think the Eastiny group is trying to establish itself as slightly better than Flipper but seems a little silly given the abundance of hotels in the area and relative consistency of the quality of room and amenities.

  • 4 months later...

Just wondering if there is any more information on this hotel, last post March 2006.

Any information good or bad would be appreciated.

Any other good room recommendations for this area would be appreciated if Eastiny Hotel Soi 7 is not great.

Thanks in advance.

I walked through Eastiny Soi 7 in April 2006.

Upper floors include bath and inroom safe for about 200bht extra.

Pool is very small compared with Soi 8 Eastiny.

Looked OK for the money.

:banghead

I had a tour of the hotel in June, great location but I wasn't impressed by the rooms, cheap looking fixtures and there were big cracks in the walls, not good as it had only been open a year,I was quoted 980 baht for standard room including breakfast.

Also I don't think the pool would get any sun in the afternoon.
