This is a very worrying trend starting up here. A girl was shot the other week in Soi Bukhao for no apparent reason by "youths" and now this. I'm not naive to know people can't buy guns easily here, but surely we need more police on the streets. If there are many more cases like this Pattaya is going to suffer massively. Let's wait and see what the story on the guy is??

The news made the English papers as well,one paper referred to Pattaya as "sleazy massage parlour resort",not far off the mark really!!

people(thais and expats and tourists , are always getting shot/murdered in los,

its never been any different

places like pattaya /bkk attract allsorts of riff raff from all corners of the planet,so its only to be expected

you just have to live with it

I knew the guy from ocal pub, he was shot near where i used to live.

I lived in Somalia for a year and never got shot. Hmmm, I don't think it means Somalia is safe.

 

Thailand isn't that bad. Think you just have to keep your wits about you like in the states.
