Do Eva have a January Sale?

Recommended Posts

As per the header, do Eva and therefore Thai airways have a January sale?

I say therefore because once one does it the other invariably follows :clap2

I seem to remember someone posting that early January after the peak season airlines come up with new deals for the spring and summer.

This year and last year I found and booked cheap flights with EVA(just under and just over £400) booking in January for a February trip and March trip.

Might not always be the case but worth keeping a close look at the prices in January for forward booking.

For those in the UK ....

Had an email from www.lazyvacations.co.uk

Reservations: +44 (0)870 499 0140

Qatar airways January promotion @ £325 + £38 Tax = £363 for flights from Gatwick to BKK

Qatar is a great price, for me Eva works best. I now have a silver FF card which means that I can check in at premium and use the lounges at BKK and LHR.

Also I like a direct flight but I guess for smokers a mid-way break comes in useful.

I went into Ours Travel yesterday and they did not know about any forthcoming Eva special offers.

Probably a bit too early.

She quoted me 655+tax for Elite which is not too bad anyway, maybe the best price has been 580+ tax.

No I have not lost my marbles, I will only book Elite if I can have a confirmed upgrade to PL.

I currently have 64K in the bin (+ 5k from a BM :wanker) so I may well use the FF miles before Eva change their mileage rules again.

On discounted economy tickets you only get 80% FF so I would need another 7 round trips to get a free PL return.

Not sure about prices from the UK put Thai are doing some incredibly cheap fares at the moment in and out of Australia. A return to Bangkok from Melbourne in February is going to cost me AU$870. Have to book before Christmas day.

I just copied this from their site... doesn't look like much of a sale: :wanker

How about compromising and just upgrading to PL for the outbound trip? You don't need it so much on the return flight as it's not overnight.

EVA Air currently have a two day XMas promotion (until 26th Dec) out of London.

Following quote from their website!

"Santa really has done a great job bringing you outrageous fares from as little as GBP350.00 plus tax only

But you will have to be quick and grab them while you can as this special offer is only valid for sale on the 25 till 26December 2006. So what are you waiting for book online now!"

Travel Period 17 Jan – 28Mar & 09Apr till 30Jun 2007

Booking subject to availability and available for UK residents only...so doesn' apply to me :thumbup

This Eva Christmas day and Boxing Day promotion for UK members, I entered my preferred dates and it came up £350+tax, but no offers on PL or Elite.

This next trip I fancy using my FF miles and paying Elite but fly PL, so I do not think I can take the eva offer up.

I will be in touch with OURS tomorrow to see what progress they are making.

By the way i have been so pissed off since my return I may go to LOS for all of next winter. :dirtylook:

Eva and Thai are now being advertised on westeast for around 330/360.

But if you try and get that price you will probably be dissapointed, they are coming in at nearly 600 for feb/march.

Like the Emirates deal advertised awhile back, these fares are non existant when it comes to book.

I rang westeast up the day the emirates deal went online 3005+tax, and could not get a ticket within 2 weeks of departure and return date, Thai women on the phone said they must have sold out allready. :D

Sad to see Westeast go this way, like so many other cowboys.

Eithad is coming in at just over 400 with tax, but who is gonna stop at abu dhabi for 10 hours?

Not this catboy.
