What exactly are you offering?

Unlimited free beer for 90 minutes and then every BM gets a free barfine?

Or....

One glass of draught beer and a raffle for a solitary free barfine at 2 am?

Happy New Year

It's free draft beer (no limit that I saw on how many glasses) for the 90 minutes and a raffle for a single bar fine. And, it's well appreciated by those who attend. Presumably, those who attend will take the time to buy a few drinks of their own, but it's not mandated. Tipping the service staff is also appropriate behavior, even if your bill is zero.

Free draught beer for 90 mins is a generous offer and a good incentive to visit the bar. The raffle for a single barfine is also a nice gesture. What time does the raffle take place?

Personally, I wouldn't hang around all night waiting for a raffle where I might win a free barfine. Odds are that I will lose and then I am without a date at a late hour.

I also don't drink draught beer in bars because I can't be sure of what I'm pouring down my neck.

Good offer if you're on a limited budget or on a long stay (ex pat). Not for me.

I think the Topic Title is misleading. Good marketing? I don't think so. I think the net result of this offer will be more pissed off punters than happy ones. People will be unlikely to return if they feel they have been conned.

Sometimes less is more.

Yes strange as it seems i don't like the concept of so called free beer myself .I feel under an obligation for taking it .Would much prefer cheap beer ,and thats what i look for in Pattaya .If the raffle for the free barfine is later than 9.30 pm ,then its a bit of a scam .

Jesus, I cant believe some people, if they didnt have something to whinge about they would be really disappointed. a bar owner does something positive for BM (and in peak season too!) and all he gets is shit thrown at him. If you dont like the offer then stay home and let those who appreciate it (and the bar) enjoy it. AND I DONT DRINK BEER EITHER!!!

No matter what you try to do you will end up with someone being unhappy.

If you made it free barfines and free booze all night people would complain about the lack of choice of girls and the fact that they were too pissed to fuck thier free barfine!!!!

Hope you keep these nights going til Feb Alan. If you do i'll be in to say hello and maybe even PAY (without complaining) to take home one of your service girls !!

I always go to the bar anyway when I'm in town and I've barfined there before as well a few times.

Just commenting that the offer has no appeal to me and I think it's misleading.

You're also entitled to your own opinions.

The guys that think they're being done a favour? Sure, if you're a balloon chaser that's gonna drink your free beer and then disappear without spending a Satang. I think most boardies would enter into the spirit of things and buy a couple of Ladydrinks, tip the waitresses, etc.

That means you're doing the bar a favour. Get it?

Nice trick by Alan though. He seems to have pulled the wool over the eyes of a lot of people with his ''great '' offer.

Perhaps you should come to Pattaya, invest YOUR money, and SHOW US HOW IT'S DONE.

Cheers, RightSaid.

Please show me other bars you frequent (ie GO GO's) that are offering the same benefits as LD1 to board members? and tell us why is it so wrong?

If you don't like it don't go.

Don't take my comments too seriously,i am being a kind of devils advocate.

Anyway as i said earlier,i prefer cheap drinks rather than free drinks which put me under an obligation.I go to the top Go Gos in the walking Street area who offer the cheap draught beer.Have in the past ,but now never bar fine from any Go Go ,as there are cheaper alternatives. As a long term Pattaya resident , i am not one of the two week millionaires,so have to be careful .
