Well , after many months of driving past the Moon River pub on Pattaya Nua i finally decided me and the mrs should venture inside for some early evening refreshments and food.

On entry we saw the parking attendants booth .

I stopped , he looked up from his dinner ,said nothing and ignored me.

Not knowing where i should park i ambled down to the Thai garden resort furthur down, promptly realised this wasnt where to park for the pub and turned back.

Took a right into the small car park ,stopped by the booth yet again for 30 secs, and once again the attendant ignored us.

With this i just stuck the car in an empty space, as soon as i had got out the car and walked to the door of the pub ,the f@#king prick of an attendant started running towards me ,furiously blowing his whistle making it quite clear i shouldnt park where i had(100 per cent empty car park by the way).

Thius prick shouted and spat and was obviously having a crap day.

My mrs actually agreed with me and before i could say anything she said in Thai -why didnt you just tell us where to park from the start.

I was getting well pissed off by this time and i could see the mrs about to launch into a physical assault with one of her flip flops !!

I promptly told the attendant to F@$k off and get a job he could actually do , got in the car and went to another place.

Fantastic front of house service Moon River-i will not be back.

Sorry , but as i never got inside the door ,i dont know if its any good or not.

I wonder if the parking attendant works directly for the owner or through a security service? If I owned the joint I'd want to know about your bad experience. Might be worth a phone call.

Sorry to hear about your attendant problem.

 

Myself and a couple of other BM went to this place a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised. The overall service was good and not really that expensive for a venue that provides great live music.

 

The food itself was certainly edible but I wouldn't say brilliant. What really made the night was the truely excellent Phillipino band who if I recall rightly sang in 6 different languages and had a very varied range of music.

 

All in all this place is somewhere that you should at least visit once, just try and avoid the parking attendant.

I've been to this place a few times and never had a bad night. I've never had anything to eat but if I remember correctly the drink is reasonably priced and the band are fantastic.

I like the place. I go by baht bus so I've never encountered the parking attendants. The food is average but we go for the entertainment. The band is very good with two female singers that I would like to S/T and they have a small dance floor that isn't packed like the Bamboo Bar.
