Insomnia Gentlemen's Club is to be found in Soi Diamond in the venue that was previously Super Model A-GoGo

 

A very impressive first visit. The local builders must have gotten very rich on the number of re-modellings this venue has had this last couple of years.

 

But the current incarnation is the best so far. It achieves a feeling of luxury as conjured up by the name. In fact so much so that I was a little apprehensive of the prices within the useful VIP Menu on each table. But there is nothing whatsoever to fear. The prices are well reasonable with a cheap draft beer and lady drinks at 95 Baht.

 

After putting myself at ease with a beer I then surveyed the dancing girls. There are only 2 on stage at one time and they were wearing swirling light dresses rather than the close cropped shorts or minis one usually associates with coyote dancing. And it works, the dancing came across to me as very sexy.

 

Clearly this enjoyment signalled itself in my body language and one of the dancers quickly popped over a chat at the end of the song. She proved good company indeed. She gave me a guided tour of the bar including the topless dancing upstairs.

 

There are also other simple innovations that made for a good time. The dancers only dance for a very short stint. It gives them chance to put a lot energy into the dance and it is good for the customers awaiting their speedy return to the chat.

 

Well done to the Insomnia team, a great start for an innovative new venue.

Hearing some good things about this place, heard it really gets going after 3am with lots of hotties turning up. will have to take a look see next visit.

You're thinking of Club Insomnia in Marine Plaza.

 

This is a new venture and will be closed by 3am i'm guessing.

 

Went on the soft opening and I have to agree, it is a 'classy' place. I felt seriously 'under dressed' in my shorts!

 

The girls, on the night, are some of the best i've seen. One in particular was the most visually appealling girl i have seen ever! Truely outstanding.

 

I wouldn't / couldn't compare it to a 'regular' go-go though, and I'm certain that the manager and owners are aiming for a more 'select' group of customers.

 

This is a great place, but it's also one more signal as to how much Pattaya is changing. This place, V20 and the recently opened Ocean 10 next to FLB, all on walking street and all not catering for traditional 'Monger' entertainment.

 

Not a naked girl or lesbian show in sight.

How about the prices for a barfine and what are the dancers expecting for S/T and L/T?

Barfines are 600 and 800 for dancers and 'showgirls' respectively.

 

They have 3 short time 'booths' upstairs which are accessed directly from the main area. These have a bench type seat inside and one way mirrors as windows, obviously so you can see out not the other way around.

 

These are available for 500 baht which includes the barfine.

 

As for how much the girls would be expecting ....... sorry, I couldn't bring myself to ask. My capacity for comprehension of the figures (im guessing) they'd be asking, just is not good enough.

Thanks for the reply. You said you didn't see anyone naked or any lesbo shows so what is the difference between a dancer and a showgirl?

I honestly do not know ....... i'm guessing it's just a polite way of saying "the better looking ones" :bigsmile:

 

Can't say i saw any 'bad looking' girls there though.

Went there yesterday and saw very few custoners and maybe 12 ladies. The glass floor upstairs is still there. The sexy dancer downsatirs do put a bit of energy into it. Only glanced usatirs for a quick look and everyone was dressed.

They do give a 20% off coupon with your order good only if presented before ordering so a repeat trip is if the works.

They windows are not one way mirrors. They are actually just heavily smoked glass, but anyone sitting next to them can see fairly well into them. You might have to put your nose on the window, but the occupants are not assured of visual privacy. They have wraparound curtains for that. Interesting concept though. Shortime right in the entertainment area -- obviously no shower is available, and if the girl has been dancing energetically, that might be an issue for some.

I would think that it would be even a bigger issue for the TG. Every BG that I've been with always brought up me taking a shower prior to any fun starting even when I just had a shower only 30 minutes prior.

 

I know I would want the girl to take a shower, but back in my high school days in the back seat of my car at the drive-in, a shower was the last thing on my mind.

Just to let you all know that the nudity takes place upstairs. If you go up stairs and the girls are dressed just wait a moment to watch them peel off there clothes.

 

At the moment i think we have about 24 girls working for us but one of the things we wanted to go for was quality not quantity. There are more arriving every day but what we don't want is your everyday issan shuffler. I think if all the girls who applied for jobs got 1 then there would be no room for customers.

 

The place and concept is only a few days old and we are bound to have teething problems but hopefully in time we can get it right

ok, just before I came back yesterday,,2 nites ago I went and checked this out..it stands as classy and different...stupid me forgot about the booths after Marc had told me about them!!!...anyway had drinks and discussions with a luvly girl...will be on list for next trip for sure...rgds to Spanky...
