Say no more, I will make a response to MM comments then from now on I'll refrain from making comments about Sky-top unless asked. Guy asked a question and since his budget is limited, I figured my answer would be useful as Sky-Top is in his price range. If he said his budget was 20-30K I wouldn't have answered.

The OP mentioned that he was after rooms similar to the Areca or Dynasty Inn. Your recommendation falls far short of that criteria.

Try P J inn , soy 12 off Central Pattaya rd, 9000 bht for one month , thats 30/31 days . 5 minute walk to all the soys 6/7/8 , very quite , has 7/11 outside. motor bike taxi out side the door , the rooms have TV air con fridge, Think they have some smaller rooms at 7000bhat..

Why does a certain hotel /guest house get such a bad rap all the time,if you dont like the place ,I dont know it and it does not sound like my kind of place, why keep it so high in the minds of every member by constantly mentioning it ,even if it is only to slag it off. It has been said ,rightly or wrongly, that there is no such thing as bad publicity, surely just ignoring the place would be a more sensible course of action,or is it that some posters just love to see their names in print.

I like Tropical Bert's it's even closer to soi 6 then my favorite guest house. Clean with AC, TV, fridge and in room safe. Bert serves good pub grub at a reasonable price. I eat breakfast there almost everyday I'm in Pattaya. I haven't stayed there but I've gone through the rooms. www.tropicalberts.com

Yensabai Condo near Walking Street. Huge studio with kitchen, 25"TV, AC, in room safe. I've stayed there a few times and felt it's very good value for the money. www.pattayarentaroom.com

Do either of your recommendations fit into the 10-12k per month category?

Anyway geedeeo, capdagde, Sailfast; another recommendation within your budget is Tycoon Place, at around 9k baht per month.

You really have to ignore BigD. There is something wrong with him.

From whence did you appear? You certainly could not have been residing on the same planet as the rest of us.
