Hi

Which is the best seafood restuarant in Pattaya.

Where is it and was it good value.

I have been to two on walking street not sure of the name of the one i have been too a number of times just before king seafood and I have always had a good meal there. The other one I went too was king Seafood and the food was good but the entertainment was even better not sure what happened but there was a punch up.

I am not sure which one is best but i love the ones on walking street

I normally get 1 kilo of prawns , bbq with garlic butter and then devour with the spicy sauce and a few large beers

Actually one of my favorite things to do in pattaya

The ones on the Walking St have got it together, and are great for the tourist. But for those that live here they are overpriced. Look around and see how many Thais are eating there.

For a change, go right to the far end of Jomtiem beach, where the estuary is. There are 2 good ones there.

Try Pattaya Nua,between the 3rd Rd and Tesco Lotus, called 'Jay Jook'..or something like that. On the corner where the large parking area is for the 'Traditional Massage place.

The latter does not have the near the sea ambiance, but any monkey can barbecue prawns.... and I don't like tricks like the 10 baht cold towel!

I recommend this area too. The food is better and cheaper than the seafood restaurants on Walking.

Likewise the restaurant at end of Jomtien beach where the road literally ends is excellent and very cheap compared to walking st.

What is Marine Seafood like near Coyotee ago go?
I think a dining experience is improved by first getting away from traffic. I would rather spend more and go across WS and dine 'over the sea'. Some people like to dine down Soi 15, with the passing motorcycles, mongers and general bedlam. Most of these places cannot go beyond barbecuing seafood and something quick cooked in a wok. I can be often seen having a quick seafood fried rice meal here - for around 80 baht - at around 3am when all the go go bars have finished and before I hit the discos for the rest of the night.

What's the use of drinking if you're just going to sop it all up with a huge plate of food?

I haven't tried the place, but friends of mine that are heavy eaters like the seafoof buffet at the Montien hotel. Its only one night on the week.

Not sure of the name but its the place next to "Made in Thailand" Baazar on second road. Its worth a trip IMHO.

Skip, one of my old friends from the Navy, took me to 2 different great seafood restaurants down past Jomtien. We went by car down south on Sukhumwit road, passed the far exit to Jomtien beach road and turned right on the third or fourth road coming down to a small village with two excellent seafood restaurants.

Unfortunately I can not recall the name of them, but maybe some of the board members know their names?

Good luck!

Hi Mark

Don't know about Marine, but best avoid Kings Seafood on WS. Went there in June and it was well overpriced and not that good food. Great surroundings though.

You might be talking about the town of Bang Saray, if so I've eaten at the seafood restaurant thats located just north of the main town area on the beach. The food was excellent and have eaten there about 6 times however I don't know the name as I've always gone with boardmember irishman.

As I like to stay in Pattaya

From beach road, go up Pattaya tai and turn right on second road and you will see

this view

http://www.pattayaphotoguide.com/?UGuRUGookc8D

Those baht buses on the left wait there all day and once loaded with people they head

off to Jomtien.

Get one of those to Jomtien and then find another one which will head down beach road

jomtien right to the end.

Or find one which is empty and ask for prices to take you down to jomtien and haggle

the fee if they will.

Love going to Kings seafood with a cutie and watching all the hate filled stares from the farang women on holidays, LOL, anyone else enjoyed this phenomenon?

LOL I like the way you think mate, reminds me of another mates mantra on the subject:

"Eating is cheating."
