If you are able to do it, I say pace yourself on the ladies and enjoy some pressure free time. You don't have to live like a two week millionaire to have a great time. Maybe a good opportunity to see some other parts of Thailand as well.

Get a condo for the 3 months and that will save a lot leaving you more of your budget for the Ladies.Try Soi Buakow as its a lot cheaper and just as nice in many ways.

If your thinking 3 months, then consider staying on the Darkside, currently the apartments over this way going for as little as 2,800bht a month. There are plenty of bars to relax in and town is just a 60bht taxi drive away, you'll save lots I'm sure.

why does it have to be this or that? Stay and leave when you feel like it. Hittiing Walking st and Soi 6 everyday is not enjoying thailand. Make a trip to the sticks or just laze around Soi Baukou to people watch. You learn a lot more about thailand and pick up simple thai faster than you think.

Decent condo on soi 17,off 3rd road for 4,500 baht a month.

New Plaza for drinking cheaply and some pretty women there too.

Eat mainly thai food,save loads.

Be more selective on how much you pay lady

Dont ring the bell to pacify the bar owners

ENJOY YOUR LONG STAY MATE,CAN BE DONE EASILY

Two weeks with money is much more fun than 12 weeks of living like Cheap Charlie. I would suggest staying two, or three weeks and live it up. Ya you can stay in a cheap room, but that's what they are, a cheap room, noisy, dirty, pealing paint, and who knows as neighbors. You can go to a cheap bar that has cheap beer, but the ladies are not as nice looking, or as young, and no air-con. Going the cheap way, probably leaves taking two or three ladies at a time out. Personally I like that. You would probably have to give up any venue that has live music. Skip eating in a nice restaurant, or seeing a Thai boxing, scuba diving, or even a trip to one of the islands. I think being a two week millionaire is much more fun :D

Every body has different views

You carry on spending your money and i will continue to live here instead of working and freezing my balls off.

ps

there isnt such a thing as a cheap charlie, just slang talk on a visa forum. If there was then you would be a big cheap charlie compared to some of my mates who are very rich and dont need to look good for only 2 weeks

so long CC

If the decision is that you have to live in a cheap room and you have to eat cheap food and you have to limit where you can drink and you have to avoid things which you now say are overpriced but which you used to enjoy when you had more money, then life has lost all meaning and you are living in an appalling version of a bad dream, surrounded by things which you have to convince yourself are overpriced, simply because you cannot afford them.

There is economising but going so far, just to postpone the inevitable return date whilst chucking away money from a job seems daft to me.

What do I think??

This is a strange question coming from a contractor..

I have been a contractor for 20 years and wouldn't do ANYHTING unless I had enough money in the bank to last me at least one year of living well without any income..

What happens if you lose your contract..or don't get another one..No contract is safe..even in the good times..and you are talking about stretching a limited budget???

My conclusion is have a bloody good time for the 2 weeks then get back to work... :yikes:
