The bar is being refitted at the moment and presently looks like a builders yard! But the present owner "Perry"is having a going away party on Sunday. So if you want to come it's at the "rose and Thistle" Thepresit Soi 10.

 

Details of our Opening Party will be posted soon! (As for Barfining the Mamasan, come along on Sunday and ask her, she will be there.)

I must have missed something here. He is reopening the bar, yet going away??

Nooooo!

The present owner "Perry" has sold the bar to me. He leaves on Sunday. That is why his going away party is then.

 

But I take over the bar on Monday. Conversion work has already started, it was to have been completed at the same time so we could have a combined closing and opening party but, as always with Thai workers. it looks like it will be another two weeks before we have our opening party.

 

Hope that explains what is happening.

Bets of luck mate. You would do well to put up some sort of map which shows people where Soi 10 actually is. Remember, no baht buses routes from downtown to there and the easier you make it for non expats to find you the better.

 

Being picky but is it really, Thepresit ? I'd have thought Thepprasit or Theprasit.

Its not quite 24 hours a day Chris - at least not every day

 

Main thing is getting a good map drawn up. Doesn't have to be to scale, but has to show where you are easily. I mean, I lived next door to Thepprasit for years and have driven down it hundreds if not thousands of times and I have no idea where any soi is. Get a big easy to see sign as well.
