Hi everyone! I am planning a trip to Pattaya in July-August. Right now I am thinking about where to stay... I stayed at Arecea Lodge 2005-2006 and really liked it (I think it's the perfect place to stay!) but I haven't been there since. Is it still girl-friendly? No problems with guests? I remember there was a discussion about Areca changing their "profile" to attract families and other tourist categories, etc. What is the situation right now?

Would be greatful from some insights!

I am staying there now. From what I understand one girl in the room is ok. Pay extra for two or more. Not sure of cost but I think it is 500 baht. Lots of families here and couples but also lots of farang with the TGF. They also have a new building # 3 (Evergreen). Nice rooms but a bit on the expensive side at 1700 baht.

No problems at all with bringing a girl back. i sign mine in for the duration for the convenience. never experienced any form of attitude from the staff there.

Haven't stayed there in awhile but they always require an ID from the girl.

The Areca is still girl friendly, 1 lady no charge, however if you bring back 2 ladies then they will charge you 300b for the 2nd guest. I stayed there last oct & still great staff with no attitude. I'm booked into the new extension 'evergreen towers' in June and can't wait.
