Hello BM's just a quick question about the water in patts, I know you cant drink the water there but is it ok for you to brush your teeth and rinse your mouth out with the water in the hotels or guest houses without getting sick, will be out there in november and this is a slight concern to me, I like to use a tounge cleaner and you have to rinse after every stroke so would just like to know if I can use the tap or have to use bottled water which will be time consuming and a bit awkward I should imagine, anyway thanks for reading and please let me know.

I never had any problems with tap water in Pattaya. I use it to brush my teeth, rinse my mouth, and make coffee.

I know boiling water purifies it, but a mate went to Udon with his Thai girlfriend, she made him a cup of tea in the morning in bed :banghead, she used the tap water, he reckons he was on the bog all day after.

Almost everywhere I have stayed I get a couple of bottles of water a day provided. These are unsuitable for taking out of the accommodation (usually heavy glass) so I always keep opened bottles available for teeth cleaning and pill taking, denture soaking and other odds and ends. They are replaced daily so its free and if you have any worries at all use this system.

I have always used tap water and don't believe it has ever caused me a problem.

Clean your tongue on a TG who hasn't shaved for several days.......

I think tap water is ok as long as you spit it out.

But I'm with Villa after rinsing I use a good anti bacterial mouthwash.

You should see the stuff that comes out of our taps sometimes especially our outside one. The washing machine frequently gets murky water or leaves in from the tap especially after a storm. And it's been stormy the last few days.

FWIW I use bottled mineral water for drinking and brushing my teeth.

I used tap water to make coffee once thinking id i let it boil for 20 mins or so would kill everything. Got the runs later that day and Imodium would not clear it up. Eventually went to Pharmacy couple of days later and they gave me something that cleared it up. I use tap water for brushing my teeth without any ill effects but always use bottled water now for coffee.

Villa uses a brillo pad & the bum gun to clean his mouth out, he swears by it, & he doesn't get sick either, apparently the LB's love it, it's like a refreshing aftershave to them :clueless :devil :grin-jump :grin-jump
