Refurbishment at THE DRUNKEN DUCK now complete

It has been hard work and it has also been frustrating at times, but we feel that it's been worthwhile. All the rooms have now been refurbished and we have pictures of some of the completed room interiors published on our website here

 

 

 

In addition, we have been busy getting the Bar area the way we want it and have some pictures of the new layout here

 

 

We are using images of 'Great Sporting Moments' as the theme for the pictures in the main bar.

 

 

If you have any great moments that you feel qualify, drop us a line to let us know or simply post your image in reply to this thread and we will look to add the picture to our walls.

How many pool tables do you have now and are they in good condition? The last time I was there ( about 2 years ago) they had 1 table and it needed new felt. Pool was free though.

One suggestion if I may,when you have live music during a party,can you reduce the volume by say,50%?Having huge speakers blasting away into a small bar drove me away after 1 beer.

And did you install the foot bidet villa requested?

wow ttt if thats the room you showed me just after the change over it looks great the flat screen is better than the old one on the dresser, and the photos of downstairs are looking good i hope to see it become party central

I have been staying here for 2 weeks + now and Tony has been a great host. The rooms are nice and any problems I have had have been taken care of straight away. The staff is all friendly and will do anything within reason for you. Tony has some very nice looking ladies working here, but watch your self if you get into a pool shooting contest with them. You could be skint. LOL The pool tables (there are 2) are in good shape with one costing 20 baht per game and the other free (I think). The bar has a good collection of different music and has even managed to find my favorite college football game on for me last Sunday morning. Great value for the price and the location here on LK Metro, can't be beat. I'll be back.................Reggie

Picking up the ball 30 yards from goal, Marsh skipped past two defenders before sliding the ball in off the past from edge of the box past West Brom custodian Dick Sheppard. A goal worthy of the occasion, that drew Rangers level, as they fought back from 2-0 down to become the first Third Division side to lift the League Cup in the first ever Wembley final.

The VGA connector is a good question, I'll have someone look at it and see if it can be done.

If so, maybe something can be worked out for those interested

I'll take a real good look at the possibilities on my next trip, as a desk/chair could easily be done in certain rooms

I'm with you on a that , Jeff, I would prefer a working space in the room if possible .

In my room (2), there is the vanity with the mirror that I use. I brought the chair in from the balcony and even though it isn't an office chair it works better than the vanity stool. As for the VGA connectors on the flatscreen, they are there and hooked up to the DVD player. Where they plug into the back of the TV is a bit tough to get to as the TV is very close to the wall. Now I am not a techno by any stretch, but maybe it is possible to buy extensions to increase the length from the TV to the vanity and unplug the cords from the back of the player and use them on your computer. I don't know if this is plausible, because I don't know if they make a cord that you can use to extend the length. Next time I get to Tukcom, I will check it out. My computer is a Toshiba and it doesn't have any VGA receptacles to plug into, so it is a moot point for me.

Why would you want to unplug it from the TV. Unplugging the other end from the DVD player and plugging that end into your laptop would surely be simpler.

Some issues on this as getting the proper length is a must (5 ft)

 

Work with laptops and desktops with VGA cards that has TV-Out function capability

 

Now, I guess we have to research this VGA card issue on the laptop

 

We used HDMI cable in the lobby and it works great, maybe this is the one needed...?
