Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

I have contacted a number of Pattaya's hotels using the "Reserve" section of their Website. I always provide complete info. I sometimes get a computer-generated canned reply that my request has been received & will be answered shortly. Doesn't happen! Then I followup with a reservation request using their regular EMAIL address. Still no answer!

The reservations clerk is to busy painting her nails and toes to be bothered with your reservation. Try and send a email to the hotel manager. I've had much better response from him. Plus he can offer discounts. :whistling:

Which hotels have you been trying to contact? I've generally had quick replies from hotels I've tried to contact, e.g Sabai Lodge, LK Metropole, but have had occassional problems with guesthouses because they have had problems with their e-mail system at the time.

There's probably an element of luck of the draw as to how quickly individual businesses respond.

Good luck

TG

I don't waste time with the computer generated reservations. I email the hotel directly. If I don't get a reply within 48 hrs. I move on to the next joint. If they can't answer your email, imagine what the guest service will be like when you get there...

For that very reason I always try to book through Agoda, instant confirmation, and no hassle.

And without appearing to plug them, their prices are usually pretty good.

Agodas prices are higher than walk in negotiated prices.

Agoda quote what looks like a good price but when you try to book it the add "tax" which makes it expensive..

I am here at the moment so if you have one that you need to confirm urgently, let me know and I will go around on my bike and check it out for you.

OP REPLYING:

Thank you, Sir, you are indeed most kind.

I have booked into Ruby Club on Soi 6. They were VERY responsive in replying to my initial reservation request & in acknowledging my confirmation. I have a very positive gut feeling about residing there.

Also, staying there will indulge my fantasy of residing on Soi 6.

MANY THANX!

Sometimes it is better if they don't answer as it saves you racking up a hefty phone bill whilst still not being able to make yourself understood.

'Hawlow, hawlow, hawlow.....you have leservashun already?...'
