Honda CBR150r

Fine and well. But the response to the ad was snide and sarcastic. My initial response was to tolerate and abide. But the attacks continued.

That I wont tolerate.

Long time use of the board doesnt justify its abuse.

He was a bit smart assed, yes... but it was a honest jab to try to get you to post info.

Nobody answers an ad like you posted. Nobody. If you want serious response to a request to sell something, you need to post as much info as possible or people (such as me) will just go look at ads that have full info and photos. If you dont have photos, no big deal, but you should have the rest of the info if its your bike to sell... so post it! Or don't. Its your loss, not ours.

I was not, however, joking when I said we are both in the market. I have been looking for a CBR150 for about 3 months now. Almost bought one new from the dealer, but I ended up buying a new Elegance instead, but am still looking for a fun/fast bike to ride to Ban Chang and back. As it happens, both LD and I were in Ban Chang today and we discussed this thread there. We both said the same: nobody will reply to a ad like this. At least not with genuine interest.

Don't want to believe that? Thats your choice.

Our differences are stemming from proper internet advertising technique?

The make and model and reg is posted and if its what interests a party they would respond with a pm and thus the process would begin. Test driving online is not possible.

I have purchased several items off a variety of internet classifieds, and if the product is of interest to me, i will pursue it. But I would never commit to buy a used item without seeing it first hand. There is never enough information posted.

One must see the item to make a decision.

Same rules apply here. If its old, high mileage, in Chang Mai or one of any number of other things, I would not be interested. I am also not interested when I do not know basic info. Color, condition, location, etc. Its not MY job to contact YOU... its YOUR job to make me WANT to contact you. So far you have given me no reason to. Simple.

Just goes to show the lack of thought this fella has put into his ad' :whistling:

It would certainly explain why he's not received any PMs in response to his post.

House for sale PM me if interested :whistling:

Now OP do you see what people were jokingly trying to point out. We don’t even know if your selling the bike in Thailand or Timbuktu, Or any other relevant info?

Now I know you’ve painted your self into a little bit of a corner but just man up say “yep cock up on my part” post details of the item for sale and if you buy Frosty a beer he’ll help you post a photo (rumour has it he does a lot more for beer but I couldn’t possibly comment :allright )

Yeah, like I said, he is not in a group that can receive or send PMs, because he hasn't applied for board membership.

He is just wasting time and rendering this website useless for trade.

If you look at the other items for sale here, there are several idiots like him who are time wasting disruptors who have no interest in the item but only want to disrupt the process.

Its a shame because the value of the site is lost with morons like this around.

calumny, I think I have been rather nice. Yes, I had a bit of fun at your expense, but only in an attempt to get you to give more info. Several others have also told you, that you need to give more info. No one is going to PM you for "contact details" for a bike we know nothing about. No one wants to take a test drive on a bike that doesn't fit our needs, or price range. Most of us will not drive to Chang Mai, to see the bike, if that's where you are. Again, you haven't said.

At this point, I think that you will have a hard time selling it here even if you give information now. I think anyone would be reluctant to negotiate price with you, if just asking the year of the bike, and number of kilometers on it makes you want to fight. You don't seem to play well with others. Are you perhaps a banned member?

Frosty and I have gone to great lengths to try an explain what you need to make "value of the site." You can call me a disruptor if you like, but as Frosty tried to explain to you. He and I are looking for a CBR150, we live here, and we both have money. Obviously I'm not someone "who have no interest in the item but only want to disrupt the process." Neither he, nor I are on Baht buses, he has already told you that we both already own two motorcycles each. Maybe you should go back and look at the posts, all 37 of them. Try and comprehend what was said. Try not to take it so personal. Look while you are not drinking, and skip your steroids for the day. Read twice if you have to.

In 37 posts, you still haven't given any information asked for. If you seriously want to sell your motorbike, don't alienate potential buyers, or those that are asking because they have friends looking for a bike. Here is the information that anyone would like to have, before they call or PM to come and take a look.

1. Price

2. Year of motorbike.

3. # of kilometers it has on it

4. color

5. Where it's located. (you don't have to give your address, but we want to know if you're in Pattaya, Rayone, BKK, or Chang Mai)

6. what Provence it's registered in.

7. A picture would do wonders for your effort.

While you may think that what Provence it's registered in, isn't important. I just spent six full days and thousands of baht, trying to get my motorcycle that was registered in Rayong, changed to Chonburi. I have no interest in going threw that again.

Both LD and I are very well known local expats.

Yes, well known for overpaying in MPs and crying when they won't deliver a pizza to your barstool during a curfew. :thumbup

OP...post a pic of the effing bike!

Hi Calumny,I should point out that I am not at this time in the market for your or anyone's bike, but I would never respond to an ad that had so little detail as I believe that ads that do not put up front all the relevant details are in some respect dodgy. In the same vein I would never apply for a job that did not post up front the wages as in the past I have done so only to find out that the wages in these jobs have always been lower than the average and much lower than I would have been willing to take, costing me time and effort,as well as costing the advertiser the same.Telling prospective customers that it they who have to go out of their way to find out basic facts is counter productive and frankly stupid.

eehh that was an enjoyable bit o banter

cheered me up no end

in a land where u can pick a bike up by looking out the window

brings a new meaning to sold as seen

Very amusing read. Must have pissed the OP off as he never did post anymore and haven't seen any other posts by him since. Probably a banned BM that was just stirring the shit.

You fit the mantle of troll much better then we do.

I already own 2 motorbikes, and LD 2 as well. For LD he is looking for a smaller one (he has an 1100), and I am looking for a larger, having only 2 small ones.

Not that its any of your business tho, since I doubt you really have a bike for sale. Probably just trying to get people to contact you out of some need of attention.

If you spent more then a day here you would know most of that already. Both LD and I are very well known local expats.

Don't be modest you are both the most reputable, highly respected, educated, wealthy, civil tongued, gentleman expats in Pattaya, No Thailand, and the source of all wisdom in the Kingdom.

To post in your presence is a great honour even though I am not worthy of your articulate put downs.

Well thank you piglet. It's hard to believe, however there are those on the board that in over 350 posts can not come up with one instance where they have "Added anything to the forum that would be of value to it's members. " It's really nice of you to show respect for those that do.

I thought I was the only one who remembered that!

Spending a lot of time on ADV (motorcycle) site for many years,if a poster doesn't include a price,it's yanked right away.If they're too stupid to provide details,well.........................you get my drift.

Want to see how motorcycle ads should be,check mine or any other.

My KLR was produced in Thailand BTW.

Your right. You are not worthy.

You are not worthy of the shit I flush down the bog every morning.

Looks like you might just be learning... tho I kinda doubt that. Your too stupid to learn simple things.
