Good hotel next to a good golf course?

Recommended Posts

Hi gents,

A friend of a friend is a golfer and apparently doesn't want to shlep too far from the hotel to the golf course. So I'm wondering if anyone knows a good hotel that is close to some decent links.

I'm sincerely grating for any congestions.

Anywhere? Or just Pattaya?

Novotel Bang Na in eastern Bangkok (top of the Pattaya highway) is about next door to Windmill, a fabulous course - and a couple of others within 10 minutes about.

Laem Chabang, Burapha and St. Andrews/Green Valley all have hotels at the golf course and vary in terms of price and quality. They do offer some price incentives for playing there as well and suggest your friend check the websites for current deals which they may have. Usually in the low season there are goo incentives.

Having said this there are a number of golf tour people in Pattaya which are competetively priced and provide the opportunity to play more than one course and have a nicer room at a better price than those at the golf courses. Also, there is generally not much to do at the courses in the evenings as they are away from other entertainment. If you are after a quiet night then they fit the bill.

Good point. Last few trips I stayed at the Tara Court between Pattaya and Jomtien, which is very nice in terms of quality, has a nice pub, and other golfers are usually staying there (http://www.taracourt.net/). Solar Golf offices are located next to the lobby and very convenient as AC vans pick you up in the lobby for golf, but still within close distance of Pattaya.

Asia Hotel Pattaya has its own 9 hole executive golf course....

I believe that hotel is not Joiner friendly. The course is a hit and giggle course. I took a BG there who had never played on a course, only at the driving range, and she was getting pars and bogeys.
