I haven't been to a Spurs game for years. I refuse to pay the silly money.

Hi,

Lots of people think the same. I used to pay 50p years ago on the North Bank. I reckon on payrates etc. tickets should be around £10-£15 at the moment in the Premiership.

Whats all the hype about?.   If you want to see real football teams play then check out great teams like Bayern Munich or Barcelona

Blackburn can. I thought it was hilarious, coming a few minutes after Sir Alex said he just wants to hang around another three years.   .

Hi,   I think the whole culture of football in England changed with the dawn of the Premiership/Sky era. Money and agents became the dominant forces. Other teams can win sometimes but how many times

50p !!! How far back ago was that ,1950s?

Can you give some detail on how you 'reckon' tickets should be around £10-£15 now...I really am interested.

I stopped going to United games four years ago. I became more of a Thailand fan. A four hundred odd mile round trip that I used to make about eight times a season used to cost me about £120 including coach fare, ticket, beer and food. I used to pay silly money for tickets to away games and once paid £250 just for the ticket to get into the Bernebau, only to see them beat 3-1 by Real Madrid! Those days are just a memory now.

Hi,

Early 70's. I've worked it out on prices/wages then and now. Not an exact science I know. :lsmile

Hi,

Yakuba is the hero of the weekend. Scoring 4 goals for a bottom club is a great achievement.

Man City have another great win against Norwich who are beginning to struggle. Chelsea have excellent away win against Newcastle. Arsenal and Manchester Utd both have good away wins. Martin O Neill needs to sort out Sunderland quick or they could be playing in the Championship next year. Stoke move up to 8th after excellent away win against Everton. QPR and WBA share the points and both should be good enough to stay up this year. Socrates the ex Brazilian midfielder died aged 57. RIP. Not the greatest ever but a very interesting character and I'd say he had the heart of a monger.

Yet they continue to play negatively and with no urgency or flair. What happened to the fast paced counter attacking sides of old? The ones that would hit you on the break and score within seconds of the ball being in their own penalty box? It seems like Sir Alex is trying to immitate the teams on the continent more and more these days. What happened to the "if you score three, then we'll score four attitude?" It was always the United way. I haven't seen a United game where they have excited me for ages now, they are so boring to watch. It's getting to the point where I'm nearly done with football. They need to start playing again and rekindle my passion and love of the game. I don't care if they win nothing this season, as long as they start playing again. I nearly fell asleep in the pub on Saturday.

Hi,

It will be interesting to see how Mancini approaches the game. Will he revert to Italian caution or play attacking football ? City play Arsenal next so it should tell us about them. Newcastle had their tough games and ultimately failed despite playing fairly well. Not having a bet tonight.

Yes you were right about Newcastle.

I'm not a betting man but if I was, I'd stick a few quid on Chelsea to win. What are the Bookies saying? Man City favourites?

Chelsea are slight favourites as they play at home.

I'm trying to get the game on the internet at my hotel. Fucking nightmare. I've been banned from the bar where I usually watch the footie. Shame really cos I could stroll in there at 04.00 bung the guy 100 Peso and he'd put my game up on the screen in 2 mins.

Fuck me, Man City 1 nil up after only 2 mins.

Glad I'm not a betting man.

I prefer to piss all my money up the wall and give my money to the Honeys instead :hithead

You've got 10 mins left to show the other bunch of overpaid prima donnas what you can do, LMFAO

04.00 is a bit tricky to watch the footy.

I don't think I have ever woken up at 04.00 unless it was for a dream walk to the toilet and back to bed again.

Oh yeah, 2 V 1 to Chelsea.

No beer left in the fridge and I'm out of Rizla papers.

Watching the BBC live update page is not ideal but at least I will be balls deep in a couple of teenage cousins tomorrow afternoon.

Life aint so bad after all :thumbup

2-1 FT

Considering how badly United have been playing, it's amazing we are only two points behind now. If United come good after Christmas like they have a habit of doing, it'll be interesting.

Yes, never doubt the ability of Man U.

How much would I have won if I put ten quid on Chelsea to win?

Not a lot. I don't know for sure but they were probably about 5-4 or something like that.

That means nothing to me, I've never studied betting odds.

How much is 5-4 in English Pounds and Pence on a Tenner?
