Cheap Hotel-Sukhumvit, BKK

Does anyone have a cheap hotel in this area of BKK they can recommend?  Should be close to Ploenchit.  Its not for me.  I've met a lady on the internet who will stay with me but she has a friend who will help her with English who needs her own room close by with whom we can hook up during the day.  I'd appreciate suggestions and internet addresses if you have them.  Thanks.

Hi Jimmac.

Don't know how cheap you want but in April last year, stayed 1 night in Street Lodge, Sukhumvit Soi1.

About 200 metres up the soi, right side.

Cost 560baht. No safety deposit box and shared the room with a few little bugs but not bad  for the price.

It's closer to Ploenchit  BTS than Nana.

You can't be serious, the Golden is the first hotel I ever stayed in and was a dump then, nice pool though.

Cheapest and best for me is the Grace.

Thanks, guys.  I have found references for these on the web by doing a search.  I've even got a phone number for one.  These are good suggestions in a good price range.

Its a fleapit I know, but AFAIK its the cheapest hotel near Sukhumvit with a pool.

I mean what do you want in a Hotel ? Its just a place to sleep, shag and shower.

Its just changed ownership too and in November started a refit (well a refit of the recption area at least)

i only ever stay the first night in bkk, and must admit i go for the nana or the dynasty.

 

only for convienience, and i would not be seen dead in the nana for more than 1-2 nights as its a right flop house.

Ihave never had a bad or dirty room at the nana yet!

and the bed linen has always been spotless,maybe you stayed in the staff quarters for 500,i like to pay a bit more,if i was the owner of the nana id sue you for slander!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
