The dreaded Pattaya cough

I would absolutely never book what I see listed as a FAN room. That is what you sometimes see in smaller places like guest houses and hostels and maybe those huts on the beach. Posted in front. But I thought we were discussing hotels.

When I book a hotel room in Pattaya, I am expecting AC.......I would certainly be unhappy to turn up and find the room did not have AC.

 

I do not know where you book your hotel rooms but I have never seen any advertised as an air room or a fan room. Now if you are walking down the street in Pattaya you might see a sign outside some dump advertising like that,is that how you get your rooms?

Took a fan room once in Manila as I was near the end of a trip, wanted to save a bit and was curious (Aussie place). Never fucking again. Even the girls complained.

That is directly off the hotel site, the fact you haven't seen it means you haven't looked. When I stay in town these days I like to stay at the Thai Garden Resort. Under 'Standard Room' it says and thermostat controlled air-conditioning. Hence I am booking an AC room. But I prefer their Holiday Bungalows, if available....under the details for one of those it says and thermostat controlled air-conditioning.

Yes I book an AC room, I have said I do not stay in non AC rooms.

Of course you would never stay in the Lek, all their rooms have AC and you only stay in rooms with a fan.

Who said I only stay in rooms with a fan? Not me for sure, I just said I do not like aircon. You do not book an aircon room, you just book a room off Agoda,they all have aircon by default and I bet lots have fans as well in them.
