Has anyone stayed here recently and what did you like or dislike about the rooms . I've been past Tims but I've never stayed there before the last two times I've stayed at the Penthouse in a jucuzzi room for which I'm paying almost three times what Tim's is asking for the same dates . I do like the Penthouse location but it can get pretty expensive . I've heard that you have to pay for your room in cash at Tim's is this true ? Any information would be appreciated . Thanks

stayed there in Jul/Aug 2003....and I have stayed in past years...got room A2..with jacuzzi in main room for 700 baht per day....stayed for just over 3 weeks

and yes..cash only...so you walk down the street to the ATM and withdraw some cash - no problem.  i paid in full the day before i departed.

and it is about a 5-10 minute walk from Tims to where Penthouse is.

no phone in room - which can be a good thing

no restaurant..but Lek Hotel is right across the street and Kiss restaurant is a short walk away.

the rooms are very big, with a standard size fridge, good air con and fan and shower in bathroom.  Also - 2 in-room safes - one electronic and one you supply the padlock.  Great staff and great service - with absolutely no hassles about the girls...and you have a go-go right below you and a beer bar right outside....and it is not noisy in the rooms

some rooms have the jacuzzi in the bathroom...more of a "U" shape than a rectangle (see below)

and there are rooms without jacuzzis for about 400 baht

here are some pics...sorry for the blocked views

There were jacuzzis in those pictures???

I was too busy looking at the girls!! Nice photos!

Looks like a nice place....I have been to the bar but never stayed in the rooms.....it might be a good place to stay on my next visit.

Cheers....gp [smiley=cheers.gif]

Anyone stayed in one of the small rooms?  I'll be in one this December.  It's all they had left when I inquired about rooms and I decided to go with it as it is only 400THB during high season and all stills has AC, cable TV, a fridge and shower.

Beware of the ghost in one of the rooms. I heard a rumor that there was one and this person sweared by it. No names but i'll ask anonomously to the one that saw beetlejuice, did you take him with you or is he still there?? B-Man!

Here is a pic of room A7 & you can see the jacuzzi in the corner . This room is huge but it faces onto 2nd road & is directly above the go-go so you may find it noisy - I didn't notice after a couple of days . It also has a resident ghost as seen by a very close friend of mine and his TG . I know this guy well & I believe him totally when he says the ghost was real . Apparantly after a visit to big Buddah & a few prayers the ghost wasn't seen again but he may come back .

Room A2 is nearly as big but it is at the back so it may be quieter and I think the Jacuzzi is in the bathroom .

As a non-believer, total skeptic, I'd pay extra for a ghost.  Proof of the supernatural would be worth an extreme amount to me.  In fact, I can't conceive of more valuable knowledge.  I'm going to see if it's available when I get there!

A2 is in the back...quiet and in total darkness with curtains closed - only light comes in through bathroom window.  numerous time the girls woke up and thought it was still early morning and it was noon or so.

and the jacuzzi is in the main room as seen in the pics above.  bathroom has regular shower.

the last pic is not from A2 but from a mini-tour I received prior to booking A2 - forget which room it was - just took the pic to show my friends.
