Which hotel, the LK Metropole, Renaissance or Royal Suite

Recommended Posts

Help me decide, I’m looking for a 1 bedroom apartment type hotel for my next stay in Pattaya. I have in the past stayed in both the LK Metropole and LK Renaissance, but also I noticed the LK Royal Suite during my last stay. Which of these hotels should I choose, or are there any other options.

Have to say that this is a strange question. It pre supposes that we have stayed at all three and can make an objective comparison between them and that our stay has been recent and therefore out comments up to date. I think its fine to ask for a review on accommodation but there is no way I could give you a reasonable answer to this question. The other thing is that you also need to give us a heads up on budget, location, girl friendly etc. Its all relevant when asking advice on accommodation.

I've stayed at the Royal Suite, in one of the "Versace Suites". These are the same size as their regular suites, 80 square meters, but with better furnishings. The suite contained a full kitchen, with separate living and bedrooms. Living room had 29" flat screen tv and dvd, bedroom had an old CRT-type tv. Bathroom had jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower. The jacuzzi was far too small for two people. I made the mistake of using two vials of bath foam and was buried in soap suds soon after turning on the jets.

They offered 24-hour room service. Breakfast was served between 7 and 11 AM, included a set plate, American or English style, complemented by a small buffet with croissants and yogurt.

Very guest friendly, I think I paid about 2500 low season. They charged me extra for internet access, and you have to supply your own Macallan.

Stayed at Metropole this March. Pool too small to be of real use. No hot water, barely tepid in shower. Wi fi in room did not work but fine in lobby. Breakfast room packed by with what seemed to be groups from Russia & Eastern Europe.

Would not choose to stay there again. Hope others in the chain are better.

Why not try the LK Empress on Beach Road, part of the LK Group, good location. The hotel is about 2 years old, so all the facilities and rooms are still in good condition. They offer a better breakfast compare to the other LK hotels.

No problems on my stays.

They did take girls identity card, but that is not a bad thing.
