Chezz Central condo - anyone stayed there?

Recommended Posts

I'll be coming out in January for 3 weeks and someone pointed me toward this condo near Big C on Pattaya Klang. Its a new complex so only a few reviews. It looks pretty good and reasonably priced at 36,000 baht for the 3 weeks. Does anyone have any personal experience of it or of similar type accommodation in Central Pattaya?

Many thanks

I remember a time where requests were "Where can I find a nice place for 10'000 baht/month max"...

36'000 baht is very expensive compared to what most people are paying.

BTW the location is not that good, no easy access to bahtbus,

and for 3 weeks look at the monthly rate; it could be cheaper ;)

Is it not down that St by Foodland?

You will be getting motor-cycle taxis down to and from the end of the street.

Not very central....... anyhow I suspect you know where it is.

I know roughly where it is and will have a bike anyway for getting around and about. I normally stay in Naklua so it's more central than that, although maybe a bit off the beaten track? It has just come up with another price today of 26,400 baht, so getting cheaper!!

If anyone else can suggest something similar that is more central and also has a pool I would very much appreciate it. I know there are loads on Booking.com (other websites are available!), but I'd prefer personal recommendations if possible.

Many thanks guys,it's very much appreciated.

Well getting out of there to head beach-ward will not be too bad as the Klang traffic is much reduced due to the tunnel work.

I used to like The Nova park one bedroom suites (near Jamiesons), but that was many years ago and I cannot vouch for the condition in modern times, and again a little off the beaten track.

It depends a bit when in January you'll be coming, but it is possible to get condos in View Talay 6 (2nd Rd, next to Central Festival) for less than 36,000 baht for three weeks. In late January last year, I paid 7,000 baht for a week for one-bedroom condo (about 80 sq m) with a great balcony view of the bay. I think it was on the 18th floor. It even had a jacuzzi.

That would be ideal but unfortunately they are starting at 55,000baht for 22 nights according to Booking.com.

I'm coming for the last week of January and first two weeks of February. I vaguely recall someone posting on here that they rented out a room there, but can't find it?

Chinese New Year in the middle of that, although whether that affects VT6 I doubt.

Here is a VT6 condo advertised by a BM

Not fancy Gabor's place in VT 2? :glare:

I found that forum post earlier, thanks Jacko, but he wasn't available for the period I was coming for. However I contacted Dancewatchers direct and they have come back to me with several different options at various prices and is looking very favourable at the moment.

If anyone has stayed there could let me know what they thought of it, regarding noise, service, etc, it would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks everyone

PS - anymore comments like your last one, Jacko, and you will have your tea ration cut!! :hijack (it's the thought that counts!!)

The land immediately to the south of VT6 (the WS side) is in the process of being developed. It was very noisy there September/October time as they commenced the work. Work was done for a few weeks and then stopped. From what I've read, it will re-start around January time.

I would suggest asking the rental agent what the status of the work will be when you plan to stay there, or book on the Hilton side. If on the Hilton side, make sure you are on a high floor because the lower floors suffer noise from the AC for Central Shopping Mall.

Anywhere you stay in VT6 will potentially suffer from building noise coming from the inside. Not all the units have been fully constructed, and others get reconfigured. But that will just be the luck of the draw.
