BA Business class

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the info thinkingallowed, is the 1100 GBP or Euros?

Euros, don't know what happened there but I was sure I'd used the Euro symbol.

Ah, just tried it in this post and for some reason I can't post the euro symbol from my mobile.

I did a dummy booking on ba.com and found huge differences in Business class fares using the same BA LHR-BKK flight and dates.

Return fares were approx, LHR £2600, AMS 1300 Euros, Brussels around 2,000 Euros and Paris about 1,600 Euros.

Now I know airport taxes are more expensive in the UK, but surely not the difference that BA charges between it's LHR and AMS fares.

I doubt that I will ever fly BA but I thank thinkingallowed for the heads up on this.

Just booked EVA Laurel in mid Feb 2018 for £1900, had to change my original dates by 1 or 2 days but saved £600 by doing so. Did BA once NEVER again. Just wish they would drop British from their name as its an embarrassment to our country.

I've NEVER been disappointed with EVA Laurel.

Enjoy your journey.

yes looked quality product as i walked by last year to cattle (which was very good i will add)

Can't really knock EVA Econ, although on some routes they're changing to 3-4-3 across in that cabin. I'd actually put EVA econ on par with Cathay.

The BA fare from AMS is unbelievably cheap especially as Schipol is only a 40 min hop from my local airport; I did a check for random dates in November and got a price of £1280.

However the flight to Schipol would cost me an additional £120 and as the teaser KLM prices for NWI to BKK are currently from £1719 it's a question whether the saving of around £300 would compensate for the additional travelling time and the hassle of having to deal with luggage at Schipol?

I've been offered an upgrade a few times when checking in online and KLM's refurbished business class seats in the 777 used on the AMS-BKK leg are excellent as is the lounge at Schipol.
