I recently bought a bicycle and would like to do some exploring while getting my exercise in. Not ready for a trip to BKK on it just yet.

So far my list of places to visit has only one destination: Ban Chang. I don't know too much about the area though. Anything else that's moderately far from Pattaya (20-50 km) and worth a trip?

Ang Sila, going the other way, or down the Beach Rd of Bang Saen.

The Silver Lake/Buddha Mountain area is a great ride. A bit shorter, but still a nice ride is around Mabprachan Lake.

There's a group of us that ride on Mondays (road biking), and Fridays (mtn biking). The rides are easy and at a comfortable pace. Check out our group's FB page (link) for meet time, location and pictures.

"The journey, not the destination that matters"

Safe riding.

Lots of interesting places to stop and admire around Pattaya. Once such is the new Wat going up on the Wat Samakkhi Pracharam grounds located on the NE end of Huai Chak Nok lake.

And Huai Chak Nok has more water in it than I've seen in the last four or five years.

...

And if you continue 2-3 km East, you can go visit the local flying club ;)

The sanctuary of truth is amazing, but as a stop on the way back to town. It's not 20km out.
