Isn't this just the UK ? More a UK failure than any world wide calamity. If anything I do understand from these forums is that the UK is going to heck in a hand basket; obviously a handbasket without chicken. 555

As it was posted in the "Funnies Section" I though it was some kind of joke that I was not able to understand... but looking on Google, how is it possible for a KFC to have a shortage of chicken ???

KFC off my list for a spell. They have refitted the one in Tesco/Lotus North Rd... and I have sometimes grabbed some lunch there after shopping, so I popped in. Can't say I find the new look very welcoming. Nor could I read the menus on the wall as I looked for my usual sandwich. So in Thai, I asked for an English Menu card. No have was the reply. Surprising really, it is like saying tourists not welcome in a major tourist town!

I was going off them anyhow, seeing all those piled up plates of gnawed old bones and so much open-mouthed chewing used to kill my appetite.

(Lumps of bone and gristle wrapped up in shit and deep fried, was what Ben Elton called it).

KFC recently open a place in my home town and they screwed up badly, totally underestimating the demand. Everything is cooked to order which results in huge queues. I've never been and don't intend to.

That is unusual because I've never seen anything cooked to order at a KFC. In the states they do a buffet also.
