For those using an agent, this new TM30 policy may not apply based on my experience today. Just back from having my photo taken at immigration and am happy to report I didn't get dinged for not f

FYI:  You need to submit your 90 day reports for the same address you specified on your last TM30, or they won’t accept it.

My understanding is that individual property owners can register on the website. Doubt this is going away anytime soon. I think it has been on the books for a long time. It was largely ignored bu

Back now from picking up my passport from Manareet with another year's extension to stay. No extra money was handed over for not reporting my return back in May.

When the agent sent my passport over to immigration for the stamps, they had the TM30 stapled to the back page with a portion sticking out. So it's not like the IO didn't see it. It's also obvious it's old as the receipt is from 2017, so it's quite worn by now.

Since they weren't busy I asked the agent again about the new TM30 rule. When I pointed to the 2017 date she showed an expression of surprise. Asked if I avoided a fine because I used an agent, but I don't think she knew the answer since she reached out to take my passport back so she could check. I thanked her kindly and said not to bother, leave it be. We all know how that would have turned out if she had gotten on the phone to immigration.

So we have one data point that appears the new rule isn't enforced if you use an agent. Hope someone reports back soon that doesn't use an agent what their experience was.

The TM30 enforcement thing seems to be one of those 'it depends upon the IO and office/province' things, like many Thailand rules on the book. So if you get a 'by the book' IO there's justification for a fine.

In the NBZ the tendency is to 'mais bpen rai' and at most you get scolded but I've never been fined for ignoring the TM30. They just staple one into my passport every time I go get an extension.

Had an actual change of address, so did a TM.30 through an agent.  The next 90 report went through online without any apparent problem.

Thanks.

What documents, apart from your passport, did the agent want, please?

Proof of the address was an electric bill.
