Didn't see much of an increase when I bought a few cases today. SML Small, case of 24 was 970 baht, I think that is what I paid in August. Heiny big bottles, case of 12, 820 baht, maybe was 790 last month, not sure.

I too last ate there some years ago and again at the behest of a Thai woman. Walking back to my hotel down 2nd Rd my barfine insisted 3am was a mealtime... when all I wanted was to do the deed and get to sleep! The Thai omelette was also my choice, who can mess that up! Could do worse, perhaps the nearby Apex or Lek breakfast buffets!

That works thanks... They were still selling bottles at 50 baht when I passed an alcoholics corner bar near Arunothai today, so the sky did not yet tumble upon us! Although a friend complained the price of his cigarettes had gone up more than that. He said 30 baht on a pack.

So a bottle of beer goes up far more than a can of beer. There are of course bottles containing 0.63 and 0.33L so I hope the figure above applies to the larger bottles. Either way it doesn't seem to be volume related. In themselves these numbers are not as shocking as expected, there have been some bigger number flying around that were. In a GGB my SML might be 172.05 baht now... actually I would expect the GGB to eat the 2 baht...... No mention of draft beer......

Beware of the soi Buakhao area then, no pavements and an abundance of MC taxis racing around. That is the reason they built the hospital there!

Sorry if I bent your ears overly.... nothing like 8-9 bottles of beer to get a person spilling his opinions!

I am using some 'Yorkshire Tea' myself right now, but admit to brewing one-cup (largish beaker actually) at a time. I prefer it to Tetleys.

So last night I am thinking, great, roadworks on Klang will be finished for the day, so I can have a hassle free ride into town in the evening. Wrong.... roadworks at the Soi Siam CC and Railway line bypass junction with police controlling traffic there, tailed back 1/2 km. There is nobody like the Thai police for causing traffic jam ups.

You can bang your head a lot too here, when I first came all the locals were tiny. I rarely venture out on balconies because high ones give me the eeby-jeebies! Topic also active on Thai Visa after a Russian fell.

Well I was in there last week thinking the place needed some hands on effort, so good luck! I stayed for only one drink, and the reason I left was I was being aggravated by girls on the main stage having 'conversations' with those in the wet area at the top of their lungs. Hard to get the attention of service too as they were pre-occupied scrounging drinks or just goofing around. You have carbon-copy competition pretty much next-door at Annabells, where I recently met the new manager from the USA. I wish you luck and will be popping in some time soon.
