    Bite Me!

Well I have certainly had a few prime ribs and enjoyed them..... Can't eat the bone myself, nor have I got a dog, so if I buy by weight (I avoided using kilo or pounds as that would confuse) no bone thanks. I was surprised by what looked like good steaks in BigC-X the other day. Best steak for me has always been one I cooked myself at home.

    I don't think I have ever had a bone in a rib-eye steak!

  10. I use the weekly package 123, (123 baht, for a week)... gives 1GB at 'max' speed then reduced speed, Wi-Fi unlimited, FREE calls during 5am – 5pm, 100 SMS and 23 MMS. Details. Find the speed fine for the odd time I need to hotspot, but not streaming video. That's pretty much only when True are screwing around and my home network is off-line. Probably paying for shit I don't need... MMS for example... don't use phone for much other than like a computer in my hand. But when I start looking at alternative tariffs, my eyes glaze over and I feel weighed down with a deep boredom!
  11. I got lost, that is where I thought I was!
  12. Only 2 ICBM, neither of which went far and one broke up... 2017 – North Korea tested its first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) named Hwasong-14 on July 4.[41][42] It launched from the Panghyon Aircraft Factory 8 km southeast of Panghyon Airport.[43] It was aimed straight up at a lofted trajectory and reached more than 2,500 km into space.[44] It landed 37 minutes later,[45] more than 930 km from its launch site,[46] into Japan's exclusive economic zone.[47] Aiming long, the missile would have traveled 7,000-8,000 km or more, reaching Alaska, Hawaii, and maybe Seattle.[45][48][49][50][51] Its operational range would be farther, bringing a 500 kg payload to targets in most of the contiguous United States 9,700 km away.[52][53][54] 2017- The 14th missile test carried out by North Korea in 2017 was another ICBM launched at 23:41 North Korea time (15:41 GMT) from Chagang Province in the north of the country on July 28, 2017. Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Boston, and New York appear to be within range.[55] The missile's reentry vehicle (RV) was seen by people in Japan as it entered the atmosphere and landed near the northernmost Japanese island, Hokkaido.[56][57] Analysis later revealed that the RV broke up on re-entry; further testing would be required.[58] The CIA made an assessment expecting adequate performance of the RV under the different stresses of a shallower trajectory towards the continental US.[59] Wiki

And you hate UK style Chinese... do i see a trend here?
  14. If anything... I actually don't think he has the capabilities, what have we seen, one successful missile launch and a few mishaps. All those that go rolling past at the chest-beating parades are ersatz.
  15. It's free in Biz now on Emirates. Internet access is on and off a bit during the flights depending on where we are flying over. After updating a few things I put the phone away, find a film to watch and ping for a Drambuie.

Didn't I recently read somwhere it is set to increase in September.
  18. Not everyone carries a spare pair of socks, and I remember my father's feet after a shift at work were horrific. He would slip his shoes off and place them up on the hearth where the heat would stew them, and we as kids would suffer in fearful silence, hoping mother would come in from the kitchen and order him to put his slippers on! I start my journeys out barefooted at the Bangkok end, clean socks come out an hour or two from UK landing. Airline food and sitting does seem to cause belly churns, as you say, you were leaving the malodorous effects behind. My problem is I usually haven't had the option of blue-cheese for a while and cannot refuse!
  19. I believe it is brave to make a negative report of a poor eatery, but it is at least as valuable to the readers as a good one. Thanks for taking 'one for the team'....
  20. I got a Korean next to me in First Class once who was turning the air blue around him!
  21. Let us home none of them are gamy!
  22. And sometimes it isn't just about distance. Better to have a tailwind than a headwind. Generally it is quicker to fly West to East, as that is the direction of jetstreams, located North and South of the Equator. Something to do with warmer air rising at the equator going north and south and accellerating relative to the ground due to rotation of the earth. Anyone who has flown back and forth UK-USA knows the flight is much longer heading back to UK.
  23. Yes, my friend goes there regular, he is Scottish so it must be good value.
  24. I looked at some pics on this Philipines page (cos it was in English) and got misled by the pic at the bottom. Have to see if the shop near me has one for a whiz around. Thanks.
  25. Are some confusing soi 15 Beach Rd, with soi 15 Second Rd (which runs from 2nd Rd, past the Mercure, behind the avenue then sharp right to Buakhao)?
