Yes I saw the report of this incident and am glad you mentioned it. Shoddy, but this is what you get here......might take a look at the weekend but have been avoiding it tbh.

That type of thing happens in a few Caribbean Places. I was on Aruba once and staying at a good hotel.... this place was impressive with a bit of a lagoon and canal into the lobby, and a launch would pick you up from there and take you to their private beach, which I think was on a spit of land running parallel to the coast. The approach to the airport was over that spit and you could enjoy the same experience of a jet flying just over your head. What a nice weekend, with a Venezuelan girl who was a recent graduate and was doing a bit of time at the power station I was at!

One has to assume the work will move towards Buakhao and hence the front is going to get it bad....it does not appear to have moved in the last month, or 3 weeks I think I last tried to pass by there.... I am avoiding it nowadays.

You can still get cheap beer on LK Metro.... I think this place used to be Kiss A Go Go, was up for sale...someone working on it now. From what I saw through a slightly ajar door, it still looks like a GGB inside. Anyone know what will become of this place? I have been told of a new exchange place in town, that competes with and maybe betters the exchange rate offered by TT. Anyone in town want to check that out...? It is called Damini Co Ltd, on Soi Post Office (13/2). Just up from the Post Office itself towards 2nd Rd.

I recall it was an issue dropping off too...one driver said to tell them the driver was my wife's brother if he got flagged down....

One car looks much like another after 12 hours of free drinks! But I admit the plate number helps, helps me with Bolt. Might depend on how busy it is there and hopefully it isn't 3 deep like drop-offs. Wasn't there an issue with 'unofficial' taxis getting in there at one time though? I seem to recall it was one reason they used the car park.

It got a good wash down a couple of times during Covid.... first time since 1989!

It was never much fun to drag your cases to the escalator and over to the car park either. But I agree with you that having to go outside looking for a driver isn't an improvement of service.

Perhaps a typo? Staying 12 months....usually makes tickets more expensive.

How is The Residence Garden these days......? It has been around a long time, but I always liked having a separate bedroom and living room. The fridge was medium size and I always removed their stuff and filled it as I liked. Don't forget soi 15, Buakhao is currently an absolute mess due to drainage pipe fitting...and is scheduled to go all the way to the Buakhao junction, and may well still be going on in November.
