As stated, ok to stroll onto Buakhao from there.... wouldn't want to do the stagger from as far as the Avenue after a few.

Which end do you mean by 'Top'.....of soi 15? I was walking around there between the back of The Areca and The Avenue, which was okay. But I wouldn't want to use it as a thoroughfare from Bua khao to The Avenue often... the abandoned work has not left the best surface... Get through the Avenue and Second Rd is down to a singe lane, the rest of it has become a car park. They should be resurfacing but didn't seem to be happening. Things just stop here between phases.

Talked to someone recently out from UK via Amsterdam, KLM, his ticket quite expensive and a few terms and conditions came with it.

The roadworks causing traffic congestion on 2nd Rd... but it looks like they are ready to resurface. Walking Street early evening. Soi LK Metro later on.....

Wow.... looking 40+ weeks in advance? Ten months.

Cheap Charlie central...the water dispenser in Big_CX food court is used by many to top up several bottles. The 7s must be losing a lot of business. And where the Malee House on Lengkee used to be, a new eatery is nearly ready...sad in a way. We are losing the old Thai style places.

If I had more money than Gates...I would be all over an Aston Martin.

Coincidentally I happened to be watching an old edition of Top Gear last night where the 3 big kids were in India. The 'British' cars they were using, an old Jag... now Indian, a RR, German, and a Mini Cooper, (BMW ?). Sad but time moves on.

So, at least 1 in 3 were no show? Not good enough for airport runs.

I don't like delivery food..... a few times the Mrs has gone to get take out when so inclined. My neighbors seem to live off it. I would still rather eat out,,, but I don't want to drive far, and even then, I like to have a couple of beers so she will have to do the drive home. Strange last night, I was expecting everywhere to be packed, so went out early...and as I drove past one large place it absolutely was... but went to another member of the same chain over the road and it never got busy.

Today's pics of our old favourite soi 15 (Buakhao/2nd Rd)... where the drainage digging was put on hold after a digger or cherry picker started a fire after hitting electrical wiring. The project has not resumed.. leaving the road passable, but a bit rough... it will be worse when it rains....but that is not thought about during the dry season. They might remember about the project when it does rain and one end floods. Can't remember which end of this road used to flood worst... I know Buakhao has always been bad, more so to the North, it used to be a swamp area. Soi 15 is popular, quite a few condo buildings have gone up.... not sure I would like to live there, despite it being central for many places. It seems always to be noisy... concrete being cut every day....even today with drainage work suspended. Stood there trying to talk on the phone today.... watching some guy smoking in his little box, doing that silly thing of keeping one arm outside with the cigarette.... as dust likely poured in.

Certainly must be part of it, it was really busy in town. And post Covid we have a population used to having food delivered... my neighbours live off it! I think fbwu has a point too....over the last 12 months I have been irritated when I do visit a restaurant, that my food seems to be taking ages, while they appear to focus more on getting the Grab orders out of the door.

Decathlon are another that want an email..... when I said I preferred not, they said it was linked to possible returns... ie no email no return! Lazada of course want phone number too and I am suspicious they are the 'source' of those dodgy (Thai language) SMS type messages with links in them offering loans and such.

I always presented it and thought I got a bit off the price of the current purchase, at least I am sure that was how it used to work... so now it became a habit. I still find a calendar next to the laptop handy.... to put a circle round some date..... I can't trust my memory these days and often the phone is somewhat distant. These discount cards are all pervading and to be honest I am fed up of being asked at Big-CX.... got one for Homepro too... my credit card has some points scheme but checking on the website it looks like I would have to use it to buy a Ferrari, to get enough points for some hanging furry dominoes.

There are blood pressure meds there too.

I have had one of those for many years.... gets a few coppers off the bill. And I must rush there to see if I can get a desk calendar this year!

Then dig it all up and start again!
