Coincidentally, nearby me, a BBQ chicken shop/eatery, that is extremely popular, recently expanded.... and the result is somewhat like the picture you posted only smaller. I told my Mrs it was an overspill building for Nong Pla Lai prison. Ironic the above is near the Niran condo buildings.

Was it not destined to be a condo project at one time? What became of that idea? I may still be groggy, wandering in town had me delirious today with the heat... which is back again. The town is looking quite shabby of late!

What was this old group of bars near The Memorial Hospital called? I remember being in there a few times and one of those I was with a right cheap Charlie.. so it must have been cheap there! They are in no hurry to demolish them. I noticed quite a few MPs on Second Rd appear to have given up opening. Mostly the upper end, big window places. Still got equipment in them so probably lying fallow until high season, or simply open late. A place I visited was doing very well with foot massages at midday...... And this is the old Made in Thailand Beer Bar Complex.....I think. Not much progress. Looking like another market... maybe an extension of the Night Bazaar.

Another lazy day Sunday.... Buakhao surprisingly clear for a weekend morning. Still watch your step on Klang... this, I expect is as good as it will get! Hurry up, you were certainly faster last night! That nice clear safe pavement, the only one in town! Spot the tourists, anxious to lose skin to sunburn or to the tarmac! The improving rates. Will it ever open, what will it be like? Looks different in the daytime..... Is it the only place to go now....Walking St no longer suits the Expat. Except maybe the 3 Windmills..... Attractive frontage, even in daytime. Another new boy on the dogleg. And soon, there will be another. Going rainbow in Treetown, I do hope not. A robot in Tops, bumping into the morning zombies!

Well a few years is a good run here I suppose....but perhaps they were refurbs....or they got new blinds. I usually trust to your memory better than mine.

That location has been through a few iterations.. ..I recall it being remodeled to quite a nice looking Italian restaurant .... I think Covid killed that off. Quite a number of folks come here with money in their pocket and ideas, ambition and motivation.... and can't get it to work. @frostfire needs to move you out of the 'upgrade' group to 'Participant' I suspect.

What's this new place about, at the top of soi 15...Buakhao end? Anybody know more......? I do hope they don't resume the digging up on that corner, or it will be stuffed before it can get going..... some other new places are struggling..... Is it me or is the baht weakening? The reality is the Thai economy is heading in a positive direction with exports (particularly to China) on the up, ..and tourism projected to get close to 2019 numbers next year. The gray cloud on the horizon... when will a new majority government be created?

Well yes, I believe so. And we have a lot of cannabis cafes all over town. I believe a lot of rules still about selling it are still in force. Not something I use so can't really be informative.... like many things here, the situation is 'confused'.

Is the plan to move any transformers? They cant' go underground! All that has been relocated is utility voltage ie 220vAC..... and as I said elsewhere, they weren't the main component of the tangles, that was coms cables, TV, Internet, old telephone. Have they buried the HV side or are they still up there at the top, looks like they are?
