  1. Sage is used in some.... Salt, pepper, oregano and thyme but varies a lot actually. https://englishbreakfastsociety.com/bangers-sausage-recipe.html
  2. My Mrs used to have a go at that.... copying the North Thailand style of sausage, which are very good. They were pretty good.... bit of spice and meaty.
  3. My thought on that...no... everyone gets tested, and if tested negative, one is allowed to proceed. At this point all the passengers on a particular flight will have gone on their own way to different locations for one-night quarantine.....
  4. @frostfireHaving some issues uploading large pic files (JPG-15MB) Message Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file. (Error code: -200) Def a file size issue..... OK when file is 4MB.... have to see if I can drop resolution on my phone.
  5. Not being pedantic but Biz fare are usually refundable, although I cannot confirm Thai refunded those myself. I know I had helluva job getting a refund on a Biz Class fare after a family death forced cancellation.... That ended up between Expedia and The carrier blaming each other for months on end, but I felt it was more about Expedia hoping I would give up. There started my period of booking directly with the carriers. Biz fares on Thai are usually pricey.
  6. Just like a snooker professional, a footballer and many sports personalities.!
  7. Also-bloody-lutely. In my early days of working and flying long haul, going via LHR was hard to avoid (I certainly did it with a vengeance later).... that bloody awful connections centre (T4-T1) , the miserable staff, the long walks in transit, various security snafus, sat in aircraft waiting for a gate sweating over my connection.... god I hate that place. And just to confirm things.... one of my recent flights back to UK I used BA (got what appeared to be a deal in Biz.... it wasn't)....and the LHR shuttle departure was 1.5 hours late and they actually had us standing in the jetway tube for
  8. Well not really the best idea.... I have 2 rules about the bike..... no drinking on it and avoid night time riding. I am also getting to the age where I start to wonder how much longer I will use one. But I see one as very necessary and it makes life substantially easier... just to be able to get around quickly, do a few shopping jobs etc. I agree they are not essential, with the baht buses and the WINs there are alternatives... if you live where they are readily available, but the independence is good. Do you think you are any safer on the back of a WIN than the front of you
  9. Yes, it is always slightly dodgy in busy times getting across from the bank to get into soi 6, on the bike after a bank visit.
  10. Found this....( does it include the recent budget change, or did they change things before this could be implemented?) https://www.gov.uk/guidance/rates-and-allowances-for-air-passenger-duty Rates from 1 April 2022 Destination bands Reduced rate Standard rate Higher rate Band A £13 £26 £78 Band B £84 £185 £554
  11. Haha, I suspect not by Thai and not within Thailand (bankruptcy being exceptional too)...I have given up, but was quite pleased to get my prepaid hotel refunded.
  12. I had a flight booked in March 2020 with them... they cancelled my original flight, but moved my reservation to a different day, which (thank God) I never availed myself of. It was a non-refundable ticket, so I didn't expect to qualify anyhow.
  13. I believe that would be correct...... the only way around it would be sperate tickets at some mid-point. That brings up another question though. One might just be under the distance if one flew direct London to Bangkok..... but just over it if one flew via Dubai. I expect to be watching a budget summary shortly. I am sure it will fill me with joy....
  14. I had the misfortune to want to go down and back on Soi Siam CC road yesterday...what a mess. Avoid at all costs. The police were not even allowing people to head East past the Railway Line Bypass, and being sent off towards the railway station.
  15. Darn. Popped into town yesterday and completely forgot.
  16. The oldest astronaut.... William Shatner
  17. I am not going into town all that often , not much reason. Will get a pic next trip.
  18. Seems to occur for short spells only.... and then all okay for a while..... mostly seen when I 'submit reply' (But not this time).
  19. I guess if you simply put the sheet in again the same, but moved the original ID on the copier. These folks can do your head in at times......
  20. Someone I know had a recent incident wrt renewing a Retirement extension based on the 65k/month income. His usual way to do this is to supply 24xbank statements. 12 monthly ones from the Thai bank each showing the 65k coming in, + 12 from Australia showing the same money being sent out. This recent renewal, he was sent off to some special Kasikorn Branch on Klang, where he had to obtain a single 12 month bank statement just showing all the International deposits. An extra effort and major mess about. Asked and he was unsure if this particular statement alone would suffice in the future.
