  1. You do get some obscure requests and some strange stories on this forum - but after reflection, I would say this is the weirdest request i have read so far in about 10+ years. 1. in the first place you share a room with a friend - that can only be to save money. 2. then you can't go so you want to sell your berth to a complete stranger. and you do all of this with a straight face ??? have you discussed it with your "friend" .
  2. its called the internet and then google
  3. dancewatchers web site is terrible. no links poorly laid out a real shocker i would give them the arse asap. i cant believe that in a place like LOS where web designers would be quite economical or even if they subbied it out to a freelancer they can upgrade the site. is so painful to try to use
  4. does anyone think there is better value somewhere else in soi 13 for me soi 13 is the best place to stay. i like wonderful 1 & 2 and also i walk down soi diana in the morning for golf hook ups.
  5. here is a bit more about the movie. i only watched the start but it seemed interesting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rT_wrtOiEs
  6. that's why you need to take your time
  7. that's what i was trying to suggest before some fucking genius chipped in with his/her piece of useless advice.
  8. i also considered it and concluded that it would just be too risky. the secondary reasons were that i didnt know the market and it may not inflate as good as other investments etc. but the main reason is that you may not actually own the property due to laws about foreign ownership etc. also there is the possibility of corruption at every level to factor in as well. easier to invest in australia and live off the proceeds and pay rent
  9. how can an opinion be wrong ? unless you want to be or sound like a cultural imperialist. its a personal thing.
  10. how do you know that ?. he didn't say that in his posting. in any case - you may know pattaya but you may NOT know it from a business perspective anyhow just my opinion.
  11. you didn't ask for it - but i will; say it anyway. don't do anything until you have been here minimum 6 months.\ and checked out the lie of the land. unless you do that or something like that you will be cleaned out before you know it.
  12. welcome. if i may be so bold - what will your business be ?. as they say the best way to have a little business in Thailand is to start with a big one and then tip in plenty of your money. Works every-time i have been told.
  13. in the lucky country Plavix is A$36 per month if you have a prescription and if a pensioner A$6 per month. About 1000B and 180 baht respectively.
  14. up to about yr 2000 you were most probably right. The Chinese have not got to "own most of the world because the rest of the world have been buying their cheaply made crap for years" t's a bit more sophisticated that that. The Chinese 300MPH train network for example. The Japanese set the first model up and only failed because of lack of natural resources. At that time western companies were importing and copying their management techniques. Especially in the MV industry. It will take the USA and some of the western world a time to realize this - but their time is over
  15. The questions you have to ask and honestly answer is : "What can i do that a Thai national cannot do and can i "monetise" that advantage to a near western income.." If the 2nd answer is "No" then you are wasting your time as you will be overpriced and not earn anything. Many have tried and most have failed. IMHO.
  16. Cultural imperialism at its finest. What about china and the Chinese people? Are they "any good any anything" except having the rest of the planet in their debt. The economist article is right on the money.
  17. yes i'm interested . do you think they will pick up from sandy spring - soi 13 cheers and thanks aussie
  18. thats is a great offer for somone. my wife and I used a voucher like that in february. it is the bees knees - free first class standard food - free drinks. showering facilities. I suggest you check though that they let people with tickets from other airlines enter the lounge. i had a feeling it was only open to emirates flyers even though you have a pass. we are going again in November and have our vouchers at the ready cheers aussie
  19. back to the thread. " you can buy cheap electronics and phones in Thailand" in my case same price as australia and you get a warranty.
  20. Obviously a personal choice. Many, many different answers have and can be given. My attempt. If I took a 2 week bar fine I would expect a GFE – and in truth I expect the BF would understand this. Really that’s why you would take a 2 weeker. Even the most broadminded I don’t think can say a GFE include fucking other guys when you are not around. It is not morals, not about girls working for a living etc – it’s about respect. So – unless I wanted to be treated the same way – I would leave it alone. aussie
  21. if you want to buy one in pattaya - You can buy my swans one next time I am in Pattaya. I have given up on the bastards cheers aussie(rules)
  22. internet cafes??? i think much cheaper to get it on yr mobile. assuming yu have a computer. i can help yu more but i want to hear about the dodgy ex-GF first
  23. how about in 6 months? are they still for sale ?? or did they sell and at what price. cheers aussie
