I've not flown Jet before but have done Kingfisher via Mumbai. The long haul is a 777 so IFE should be good but I intend to take a pill and sleep on those legs. Glyn.

Just booked online tonight with ebookers flying with Jet from LHR, £470 leaving 29-Mar return 10-Apr so, yes, they are available occasionally at these prices but you have to be prepared to book them when you see them or lose them. Glyn.

ATM withdrawals are free if you use your bank's ATM machines in the province where your branch is located. Use another ATM or go outside your province and there is a 20 or 25 baht charge. Big deal. I have had no other charges on the account apart from a small charge for electronic transfers out (again 25 baht). I have never deposited money electronically so cannot comment on fees for this. I also get interest, a very low rate, but it's something. Glyn.

That's where I opened mine, opposite corner to Tukcom, same side of road. Took about 20 minutes and cost 300 baht for the ATM card if I remember correctly. You are given the card in the 20 minutes it takes to open the account and it is live, I then deposited money in the account and could withdraw using the ATM immediately if I wanted. Glyn.

I cannot believe that Nong has to turn to the internet to find a date. Tell Nong that I wish I was still out there as I would have been honoured to be her date. Some guy is going to have the experience of his life to see Nong plus Jane and Pin all done out for Loy Krathong. I saw Nong last New Years Eve and I thought that was something special. Glyn.

Prices for what I call decent flights (good airline with short stopovers) are running at well over £1000 and have been for months. There has been no deals at all this year for the Xmas NY period. The problem now is are people who are booked to travel over the next month going to delay and travel later due to the threat of floods. If this happens then flight prices over the peak period could even increase. What are your thoughts on this? Glyn.

I'll echo what Lovedog said above. I was in Pattaya last NYE for the first time and spent it at FLB. It was an absolutely brilliant night (probably helped by the company I was in). I'll be back there this year. Glyn.

The bext place for sports shirts I found is a shop at the bottom end of 2nd Rd on the right hand side as you walk north. It's after the side entrance to the Wat, just before a side street, probably the first onn off 2nd Road. If they haven't got it on display they can get it within a day or two. I think it's run by two brothers but I can't remember the name. I'm going out now but can check the pattataphotoguide later to see if it's on there. Glyn.

The bus doesn't cross the runway, it goes around which means at least a couple of miles on the bus. Glyn.

I agree, the bus ride is the worst part of the Qatar experience, they are very good apart from that. Glyn.
