Here in the US, the wrong house was demolished. It should have been the house next door. -

Areca Hotel question
midlifecrisis replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
my ex-wife used to tell me that I think too much. I refrained from replying to her that she didn't think enough. We evened out for 30 years but she snapped approaching 50. But yes, I think too much, talk too much and have too much time on my hands now! 124 days until wheels up. -
I am not sure if anyone has posted any outside reviews but Trip Adviser has over 50 reviews about Bite Me Bistro and rates it highly. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293919-d9728644-Reviews-Bite_Me_Bistro-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html I am looking forward to trying their fare. It is a short walk from where I am staying on my next trip.

That is a super looking quiche I will definitely check you out in November. It really looks like you have real chefs there. The food always looks amazing and so many different offerings.

Areca Hotel question
midlifecrisis replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Thanks jacko I did not think about looking at an alternate site. I know it has been eight years since I stayed there and I was certain they have them. I want to book them as my primary haunt will be practically next door. Thanks again. edit: I found a photo of the cupboard with a safe in it on the Areca website. -

Areca Hotel question
midlifecrisis replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I have been considering the Areca but their site does not show that they have in-room safes. I have sent off a message on their site but after a couple of days no reply. Can anyone who has been there recently answer my question? Thanks Also, what else that is similar is close by? Had a bad experience at LK Metropole so that is out. -

Popped up while I was responding to BigDUSA. I also have used Agoda and Expedia with no problems. -

Thank you. I just want to be prudent. It was not intended as an attack. -
Good booking sites to use for US visitors?

I was looking at the sites online and was curious of his experiences with them. one site gave me a bunch of popups. That concerned me. My question was sincere. It is a fair question to ask. It was not an attack. I could list sites too without having any actual experience. I would not do that. I want to know the reputation of a site before I use it. I would still like to know if any members have experience with these sites and if so how do they rate it. Do you see something wrong with that? I just had a new HVAC system installed in my home. Neighbors are asking me about -

very nice Butch. There are like levels of poverty in Manila. It is not like say our inner cities in America. There are people living on the street whole families. People build shanties in vacant lots - squatters. There are developed housing areas that are very poor. Some of it is very sad. But people are generally nice. I like the women. Their voices not so much.

I stayed near the US Embassys but the small nightlife scene is actually in Makati on P Burgos Street. Angeles City is more interesting.
