  1. Thanks for the heads up!. Netflix has it plus the specials and will squeeze it in. Thank God I'm retired.
  2. I watched season one. It was OK but not great. I find I have no interest in season two.
  3. That's my thought too. As was mentioned by Rhino Tusk, this seems to be aimed at those living overseas. Good info on the US policy/ When my folks died, I notified everyone concerned. My dad being retired military and retired civil service, there were many issues to be addressed. That was in 1985 so I am sure much has changed with newer technology, etc.
  4. I have not either and I have been on Social Security for just over two years. I do get my tax statement each year. I agree with MM. It seems to be a matter of proving you are still alive and thus still eligible for benefits. It makes sense for them to do this. Say you have a joint account and die. Your partner or heirs do not inform the SSA of your demise and the checks keep coming. This could go on for years. But, say you reply to the letter, how does the SSA know it is you that replied?
  5. Thanks again for the heads up. I will put SIX on the list as well.
  6. Yes, Justified was a great show. I became a big fan of Walton Goggins. Thanks for the feedback on SoA. I do not know why I never got into it other than there is far too much to watch - or was, when I was working and had a family and home responsibilities. So, I will finish those I am working on and then get back into The Americans and SoA. Thanks again!
  7. Two shows I have never gotten into and hopefully will at some point (there is only so much time for TV an movies): TWD Sons of Anarchy (saw one episode) My ex had me check out Mad Men and I watched it all except the last section of episodes. It was an OK show but for whatever reason I never finished it. I recommended Breaking Bad to her, which she had never seen, and she in turn recommended Sons of Anarchy. For a good movie, not an action movie, I recommend "Tracks". It is a bio of a real woman who took a bunch of camels alone through the harsh outback and desert of Australia
  8. So far I like it, Butch. I think I am on episode three. It is available on demand from my provider. The first season is still active. It has to do with mental powers and there are some baddies trying to eliminate the mutated - of course. Not to give too much away but the male and female leads cannot physically touch one another without consequences to the environment around them. If you enjoy Marvel, I think you will like both JJ and Legion. I watched another JJ episode last night and they referenced the Hulk and others. I do not know all of the Marvel characters and story lines. T
  9. They are into a natural bounce. Potholes make motorcycle sex better.
  10. I have been watching Taboo and Legion - both on FX Jessica Jones is on Netflix streaming. I have only watched one episode but it is intriguing. The villain seems interesting. I want to learn more. Legion and JJ are both Marvel creations. I never got into The Americans in the past but I just started season one and like it. On Amazon Prime streaming I recently watched the series Sneaky Pete and give it a thumbs up. I tried The Magicians and the CGI was excellent but I could not get into it. I think I have outgrown the fantasy genre and the target audience is not mine.
  11. You are correct but my old brain cramped up on that. The premise sounded familiar but I could not put my finger on where I had read, seen or heard it. You have a great memory! I stand by what I said in comment back then. We citizens are treated as guilty until we convince them we are innocent. Well, I have nothing to feel guilty about and I have nothing in my belongings to incriminate me or even raise eyebrows. This makes me appreciate Tim Cook's stand against a back door on Apple products. Also, what you said at the end about it being about morality and not security is imho k
  12. ouch. I did not realize that but it is consistent with my other experiences.
  13. Failure to cooperate to their satisfaction is not a crime but can lead to further delays. At some point they have to let you go or allow you to have your day in court. The recent kerfuffle regarding Trump's immigration order shows that their power has limits. My way now is to be totally clean. I don't even bring back things I need to declare. What they decide to search is of no consequence. It is just a delay when I am tired. An annoyance and nothing more.
  14. The only country I have ever entered that was more draconian than the USA at the point of entry was the former East Germany and that was about multiple passport control stations. They did not search our car or belongings coming or going to West Berlin in 1984. When you are entering the USA you do not have the protections as those on the other side of the line. Everything you have with you is subject to search. Every time I return to the USA from Asia I am searched and questioned. Phones, computers, cameras....are not protected by the 4th Amendment at this point. Until being passed thro
  15. I believe he taught George Harrison the sitar. And yes, he was the father of Nora Jones. He introduced Indian music to the west. Quite a legacy. He played at Woodstock.
  16. Cumming and going at the same time. I should be so lucky.
  17. Looks good but my cholesterol went up 10 points just looking at the first pictures.
