  1. There is no where locally that sells Equal sweetener sachets so we got 3 x boxes of 100 sachets delivered today. One box of 100 sachets cost 146 baht including delivery and including an excellent glass container with a clip on lid. I'm sure they will be cheaper in Pattaya but that is what I paid rather than use half a tank of petrol going to Ubon City .. 300 sachets should last me about 100++ days ...
  2. I was a regular visitor to Villa Market on 33/1 in the 90s purely for the excellent choice of decent French wine in the "upstairs cellar" but I wouldn't go in the Pattaya one for much the same reason as you !!!
  3. That was my first reaction when he selectively stopped "Visa Comments" which were fewer than "Shaving cream" comments and also less than the later "Juice" comments. I'll just randomly join in until he tells us to stop commenting on any particular subject.
  4. Yep. We have one orange tree that produces a lot of fruit. Unfortunately they are too sour to eat. Fortunately my wife buys some "stuff" to add to the juice and makes washing liquid out of it ..!! I was waiting for the next delivery on Sunday to post what the "stuff" was but I thought I'd follow your prompt... We also have 3 Makruat "keffir" lime trees that also produce a lot of fruit which my wife squeezes out to provide the juice for my morning lime and soda water drink..And of course the leaves are used for cooking ..
  5. WOW the same sort of thing happened on a Cambodian visa run using the agent in the Queen Vic yonks ago (15 years++ ??) but the solution was rather bizarre !! We were on the minibus on the return journey from a "successful" trip to the border when the driver took a phone call, stopped the van and asked for a couple of passports. He then used his pen to cross off the dates on the visa stamp and enter new ones .. the correct ones!! Those concerned went ballistic!!! Buyer Beware and fucking check your stamps !!
  6. I tried at the Immigration here and was very pleased that I was able to do it directly with them and cheaper than an agent .. but then he wasn't available when we needed him !!! The other officer insisted we used an agent that charged 45,000 Baht!! Fuck that for a game of soldiers! So we reverted to the original agent that did the first one when we arrived in the region.. I know it is possible to DIY but the risk is just too high at the critical moment if there are changes.. Use an agent but shop around..
  7. Shit yeh! It was my stance on any Marriage Visa discussions on Thai Visa Forum that got me banned! I simply refused to give up my point of view that in some Provinces it was impossible to do, in particular my experiences in Kamphaengphet and using Nackon Sawan Immigration. It was an impossibility (at the time) due to strict timings with them, my bank and the time taken to drive there. Over the years I have come to the conclusion that it is best to ignore the flack from the "If you can't afford to live here fuck off back home" brigade and just use an agent..Simples!
  8. Check this chap out .. https://www.youtube.com/@PremierTraveler/videos
  9. I normally buy this from Lotus that seems to last forever .. https://www.lotuss.com/en/product/barbasol-soothing-aloe-thick-rich-shaving-cream-198g-73110485 But last week I needed to stock up on Typhoo tea from Siamburis and ended up ordering shaving foam on there to knock it over the required 1,000 baht minimum dry delivery order. No idea what it is like because I still have an unfinished Barbasol ... https://expatfoodsthailand.com/shop/personal-care/insette-sensitive-shaving-foam-250ml/ Typhoo Tea (100 tea bags for 119 baht) I am fully aware that most think it is like drinking piss water but I find it refreshing ... https://expatfoodsthailand.com/shop/hot-drinks/typhoo-one-cup-tea-bags-100s/
  10. I buy Barbasol. It is thick and creamy and my last can lasted well over a year shaving twice a week ...
  11. Yes mate but he should also check out Booking.com too. Not only are there differences in prices but the "Guest Review" on each hotel has a Search Box on Booking.com for greater detail on things that are important to you. I often type in "Parking" but the OP should type in "Kitchen" BOOKING.COM "KITCHEN" AGODA NO SEARCH BOX
  12. Yep, there are some VERY good Managers in this league. My target is always to be in the top 10 but have never quite managed to make it despite jumping up the rankings last season with a lucky Assman Chip ... Good Luck everybody involved .. "Isan Chez Moi" this season !!
  13. They do free delivery "within Pattaya" so it might be worth a phone call or email to see if it includes you. I use them here in Ubon as my preferred choice when I need a bulk delivery of lamb, sausages, cheese and other frozen stuff that catches my eye... For me they use Inter Express for frozen stuff and Kerry for dry deliveries. There are a couple of places in Ubon City but they are not well stocked and well over an hours drive away.. I have also used Manston but Siamburis has a broader choice including the lamb.. I am very happy using them and recommending them especially for the lamb ... Note: I like their current selection of lamb ..... 🐑🐑 🐑🐑🐑 🐑🐑🐑 🐑🐑🐑
  14. I worked there for 6 months. One of the smaller malls has a mainly filipino blowjob bar and there is a Thai bar there at night too. Not the place to be on a "muslim weekend" as they all drive in over the bridge sober and return ratassed with their balls emptied ..... Too long ago to be of any use to the OP though .. Sorry!
  15. Would they then be susceptible to getting a Vinegar Stroke on Beach Road ??
  16. The pointy bit at the top reminds me of the RAC building on the M6 near Walsall ! During an interview there in '89 I was told that the design is based on the RAC peaked hat !! So, one could conclude that I think the design of a futuristic Space building in Pattaya is based on a long obsolete piece of uniform from the '80s ........
  17. I think we are all aware that the tremors ripple out in concentric circles but surely over a long distance some tremors are dampened by geology and/or terrain more than others. Gordon Tickle said that he felt nothing in Chiang Rai and went on to suggest it was due to the range of mountains in between. I don't know if that is true or not because I haven't a clue on the subject.
  18. Pity the bloke in the crane!! The cab separated half way during the fall, Maybe something cushioned the blow ... or hopefully there was nobody operating it at the time !!
  19. Yep, I was thinking about that last night.. During my 18 months working there I saw roadworks being cut into mountains in the Southeastern Provinces that would collapse if anyone sneezed, The Rakhine mountains were too dangerous to drive across in the rain, Bago was very susceptible to landslides and the houses out in the countryside were less safe than a cowshed in Isaan (In fact many families lived directly above the cows). Normal townhouses in Yangon were so old they probably just imploded in a pile of dust! However, I don't expect any meaningful news to come out other than the major towns and cities though... A minor encumbrance for me is that Wise announced that my latest transfer will be delayed "Due to the earthquake in Bangkok" ...
  20. Yes mate! My daughter called from her work in Bangkok this afternoon shaken from the aftershocks.. I'm worried about her riding home tonight after work because there is gonna be a lot of unsafe masonry/debris from buildings, overhead bridges and BTS etc etc ..
  21. Norse is starting direct flights LGW to BKK in November .. That'll shake things up a bit ..The Premium Economy Light prices are damned good if you can travel with 15kg carry-on and no checked bags. It comes with priority check in counter too !!
  22. Fucking Brilliant !!!
  23. Bizarrely I was staying in a hotel on Chaiyapoon when I got my last renewal done by the agent.. How the fuck does that work ??? (That's rhetorical and doesn't need an answer other than TIT)
  24. This is what is bothering me now..If I go into town overnight am I now supposed to go across to Jomtien in the morning ???
  25. You are probably right too !!!
