I think all passengers and luggage should be weighed and a surcharge added if over 140kg total.. Also, I have vague memories of flying economy and using the toilets down some stairs in what would be the cargo area..... I guess it didn't catch on for financial reasons... but perhaps in the future somebody may try it again....

I think I know where you are!!...It's now a 7/11....next to Tescos .. I was in Tescos yesterday buying their remaining stock of Lay's honey and butter crisps on special offer. Why do I mention the crisps? Well it's about the most exciting thing happening there nowadays.. Yep I used the front bar a few times but didn't bother after that cos it was such a walk to the toilets... Having said that..where is the pub and restaurent and Rahtree bar?? EDIT = I've still got the wrong place haven't I...Ah well...I need a walk tomorrow.... -

Bullfrog replied to short's topic in Transport in Thailand
Your expecting Somali Pirates to stop the ferry to Hua Hin and steal all the fake Armani handbags and Rolex watches...?? Now here really is a thread drift...If you ordered a Rolex from a street vendor in certain parts of Africa what will you get..??? They are delicious BTW... -

I thought Booking had fucked it up...You'd think that somebody from R-Con would have bloody bothered to check their booking agent info ( and checked the spelling on their website) but upto them. I walk passed that area of Buakhao ( albeit bloody ratassed) quite regularly and still can't visualise the hotel, pub and restaurent, night time entertainment complex etc... So, that's my task for this week. It takes me an hour to walk to that area but I am keen to find out if it is a place I have never been, a place that I have been many times but got thrown out for being drunk and forgotten -

I checked the maps on their website, Agoda and Booking.com but it is shown in different locations. I had intended to go there to put my ear to the ground, stick my nose down the drains and sit and have a beer ..... can anybody give me directions... -

Always thin crust for me with a tomato puree base, loads of cheese that retains flavour when melted, real mushrooms not the tinned shite, prawns, NZ mussels, green and black olives, largest size available, drizzled in olive oil to add a little moisture if needed, served hot with 2 bottles of Chianti reserva...

One of my favourite books of the 70s and took me away from the angry prose of Sillitoe.. I introduced my sons to The Tao of Pooh a few years ago and my eldest is now reading Zen......Apparrantly there is a follow up to Pooh which I will buy when in UK in August...

What a fantastic teaching aid it would be out in the village schools.... Watch for a plane overhead...run in to the school computer, find out where it has come from and where it is going to and pin point the locations on the map...

Naando's (Balti Towers) Indian Restaurant on 3rd Road
Bullfrog replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
I have just spent a lovely couple of hours in the new " Carry a Curry, Indian fine cuisine" at the bottom of Khao Talo and by direct comparison with the above example the price would have come to 660 Baht with free delivery..... It has only been open a couple of weeks and is lovely and fresh inside....but I decided to eat outside.. If you want a light lunch...just order onion bhajis for 90 baht...you get about 6 of the buggers and they were the best I have ever eaten.. For my light lunch I also had several beer chang at 55 baht and more than several double hongthongs at 50 baht...... -
Since posting about some bad food experiences at PBG some time ago I have returned numerous times because the location, booze, serving staff and WIB make PBG one of the best places to go in Pattaya - if not the best.. During that time I have had 2 meals, both of which were perfect. 1. Dory is a very "soggy" fish and difficult to get right but PBG is the only place I know that cooks it to perfection. The mash spud and white sauce were both bloody excellent.. 2. I have had larb moo and somtam too....Again both of these can be very difficult to get right for individual tastes expecia

Fuck me upto the mid 90s the rear 6 seats were smoking seats (the last 2 rows didn't have lift up arms though) which is where I sat even as a non smoker just to get a lay down.. BA Jumbos had business non smoking "upstairs" so thats where I sat when I could afford it...

Funnily enough I was on soi honey yesterday and was thinking how easy it is there for somebody on their first trip to get a massage/BJ/shag .... As for the Big C Marina, I would say doing the walk of death crossing that road on your first day is not to be recommended.... -
My own experiences of flying from Southampton into Schipol then onwards should prove as a warning to others.. 1. If the incoming flight is late then it is that carrier that has to find you a new flight if you miss your onward flight. In my case KLM UK didn't have a presence in Schipol and I was left stranded because they basically kick you out of the prop plane and its upto you to go begging at the desk of your onward flight carrier.. in my case it was down to wherever I was flying to in Africa at the time.. 2. When I was flying with my first Thai wife in from BKK we had to be escorted

It was my Mum's favourite hotel !! I also have a soft spot for it as it is where I met up with BM Murgatroyd many years ago.... Having said that I agree that it really is out of the way nowadays and my own experience of BR Songteows is that many don't stop as they appear to be touting for tour group private hire... -
Excellent pics mate. Thanks very much.. I am now tempted to walk down Suk from Wat Dam and see if I can manage to get up that foot bridge and enjoy the view in person...

Excellent idea.. Funnily enough I checked the Devonshire on Trip Advisor after I posted about it and some entries were quite bizarre in that they were polar opposite from my own experiences there ......So it is a good idea to get BMs own POVs...
