My neighbours are happy.....They are road sweepers and are getting loads of OT in..... They've just gone past with 2 bottles of seesip degree... They sure know how to party!!

Interesting that you say that. Their office opposite Big C, Pattaya Tai was emptied out when I walked passed this morning. I have no idea when they shut up shop even though I walk by there at least twice a week. I only noticed because of this thread...

It is aptly named. It could be transported through time and space and fit comfortably into any UK seaside resort of the 70s....It even has holiday tea towels hung on the wall....As you say great greasy spoon food and service...It's just a shame the chef doesn't have a fag hanging out the side of her mouth dropping ash onto the plates... I am off to UK in August and will try and buy a Dorset tea towel for their wall...

Seaside.It's a little greasy spoon style cafe where you can sit outside if you like to watch goings on.... The soup is Cambells condensed soup which Robins Nest and I-Rovers are incapable of putting in a saucepan, adding the correct amount of water and heating up... They do a breakfast for 130 baht....greasy spoon style with spuds too.....but not for me.... EDIT = I have vague memories of going in there before 9am once, totally ratassed, and having the mixed grill which I think was deliciously filling...I think..

I went for another bowl of mushroom soup yesterday and noticed that the new gravel was diffent grades so those on a motorcy will either slide accross the small gravel or be dragged to a halt by the larger, looser gravel. Unfortunately it's at the 3rd road end otherwise I'd have had another bowl of soup and sat and watched....

Very very true but the music and sound quality reminds me of airplane in flight entertainment....which, as you correctly say, is better than what is normally on offer.. Regarding Rap in an Indian restaurent...A group of us once visited Ali Baba for an afternoon family meal. We were served by a philipina that was playing rap, when we asked her to change the music she went behind the counter and turned the volume up louder...We left..6 hungry and thirsty adults with 4 kids eyeing the desserts....the place was empty...

Just checked it out too.......No information at all on wine etc ... but the "Retox Radio" playing in the background indicates Mont Clair.. Just a thought but wouldn't a large bottle of "Arrogant Bastard" go well with a curry...!!!! Thanks very much for the update. I walked passed last week and I'm sure it was still signed Retox Xtra. Totally agree with both of you about the chicken but it seems to include a wing, a leg and a bit of breast......How was the Byriani? Had you scoffed a few prawns before the pic was taken? In UK I would have expected a vegetable curry as part of a Byriani order ... or perhaps that is only my local takeaway... You have prompted me to go online and check out their wine list, main menu and prices as where I live doesn't have an address and it is cumbersome trying to explain over the phone for a delivery. Better to go in person...

Yep I pay 5 satang for a litre of water as delivered in the water trucks on a normal day but ......What chances are there of a delivery truck (a) Being available and (b Being able to get through the traffic...?????

I see no problem with charging for the water if you are not using the bar. It was very likely filled from a metered source or from a delivery tank and you were using up her "ammunition".... Although 5 baht and "same price for all" may have been a better approach..
