Thanks. That is perfect. I have passed it on to my son who is visiting at Songkran and I shall use it when I take a holiday in sunny Dorset later in the year...

Must be that time of year...I was on Soi Buakhao yesterday by the market and the leccy was off for an hour or so......and today it has dropped 3 times here in the slums for about 15 minutes a time...

It's just a wind up ...........

I have bought several here but they were shite, either too quiet or didn't keep time. I bought one in UK two years ago in a pound shop, a proper dingalingaling one, does the job brilliantly.

Which company did you use..???

The best thing I ever bought at an airport was my IDP at the Post Office at Departure on Terminal 3 Heathrow...Many moons ago it was underground between 2 and 3. You just turn up with a photo, fill the form and they issue it there and then. Do it after you've checked in but before you go into immigration...Brilliant ...Untill BA moved all their flights out to T5.. But in August I shall be flying Emirates and will get one one the way back....

There are escalators that go up near Wine Connection. On the way down they end at Wine Connection. Wine Connection is a shop that sells Wine. It is located at the bottom of the escalator. You'd think somebody in the 'Hood would have the nouse to use the bloody escalator and negotiate a wholesale discount and carry the wine up the bloody escalator to serve to customers as an alternative to bloody MC... -

Thanks...Do the choice of bottled craft beers appear on any menu yet...???? -
Sounds like a good band and I presume the cheesey 80's style cliched VDO was intended humour...

I don't care just as long as some tart gets her tits out "accidentally"

Getting from Darkside to Central Pattaya - wee hours.

Rabbi (Elephant Bar ) was always good for letting you stay overnight if you'd had too much....nice girls, nice breakfast ..... lovely NYE parties... It is by far the best option if you can find a little place like that .... EDIT = Or park yer truck in the Esso station near Pattaya Tai Song Teow and kip in there for a few hours and grab a Burger King and a coffee to:- a. Have a comfort food breakie b. Take home as a peace offering c. Use as an alibi for being late as you ran out of petrol and had to wait for it to open -
It was simply a nice little village with a nice quiet beach area ideal for eating seafood and drinking beer but over the past few years it has been built up....

The Robin Hood Tavern in The Avenue (updated Dec. 6, 2019)

There is now a sign outside saying "draught craft beers" which is 2 pumps inside neither of which I fancied ...but they also have a fridge of bottled craft beers including my favourite hazelnut brown ale..!! But there was no pricelist for this excellent, wide choice of bottled craft ales. I assume that is why they are not marketing them too..!! I will definately be back in a week or 2 to see if everything is ready... -
Totally agree.

I see that you included Nong Nooch but if you had carried on up the road a couple of hundred metres and turned right into Bang Saray you would have discovered what used to be a little expat "secret" ...if you had filmed only a year or so ago and again this year your undoubted skill with the camera and editing would have captured the contrast perfectly......... The litle bars and eating places all flatenned now in the name of progress. There are some new gaudy beach huts now next to my favourite seafood restaurent and in front of what was a pretty tastefull new development. The sea is now filth

Foreign Criminals in Thailand

If you think harvesting sugar cane is less work you either have a machine ( which doesn't mean more money) or you have never been involved when it is done by hand....It is by far the worst job on "the farm"... -
I noticed this morning ( mainly because I was prepared so didn't have tears in my eyes ) that it is Retox Extra....... maybe even Xtra.....
