Well said...I will be flying home to Blighty in August and have already selected Airline, dates, times and seats ....Doing this enables me to book a Travelodge well in advance saving at least 200 quid over the whole holiday period.....I can also book National coaches well in advance... Sometimes peace of mind is more important than a couple of quid..

When they say "completion" does it include the "pedestrian footbridge with elevators" I wonder?? If not then there will still be some traffic restrictions whilst that is completed.. In the article it said there was no problems and that it remained dry during the "recent" heavy rains....but I suppose it depends on how "recent" because it hasn't rained too heavy "recently"

Excllent photos!! One for your diary...There is a road being built from Loikaw in Myanmar accross to MHS.....Now THAT will be a beautiful drive through the mountains.. Some of your pics could well have been of Loikaw as they seem identical...and the Burmese food is easy to spot as it has a quarter inch of oil around the outside.....

What seems like a lifetime ago I used to travel to CM once a week for a year to attend meetings... None of this report resembles the CM I knew...
