As I was leaving Seaside this morning I just saw 2 trucks appear with tarmac and a steam roller at the 3rd road end...Obviously they used up the allocated amount on just two holes then......... Maybe more tomorrow....Ooooh isn't it exciting..

I have never known it to be anything other than potholed. I think I shall take a walk up there over the weekend just for the unique experience...

I was in Seaside earlier today and it seemed like the road is being resurfaced....or at least filling in the holes (in the road that is) ....Wonder how long it will last for this time...???

Simples.. I spent most of '96 in Indo and bloody loved the place. My contract ended there so I came to Thailand on a new contract and loved it more here instead.....

I would totally agree with this until sometime last year when "something" changed. No idea what but was told it was a new chef. I have had some fantastic thai meals in there and some great afternoons with friends and family but from now onwards alcohol only..

Hahaha... so what is he doing about the shit food..?? The new chef is crap ... your girls still work hard, are good company and your drinks are delicious...Only that far corner lets you down...

It is still a great place to go for a drink but not for food. The serving girls remain hard working and fun to chat with....

And indeed it has become worse than aweful. Great service from the girls but bad food coupled with closed toilets. Go there for a drink and you won't be dissappointed.. EDIT = for the first time since it opened the serving girls were asking for a tip "in hand"

I presume Pattaya Pete has managed to sell the place because as I mentioned in the "suggestions" thread the food had gone down hill .. but it wasn't until today I realised how bad it had become. Previously we acceptted slugs and snails in the salad as "a thai thing" but I sat and watched for 4 hours (because of the rain) as plate after plate was returned not even half eaten..... I guess the new owners are cutting corners ... so for me it is a place for drink only...

Bite Me would have been perfect for your needs!! A place I have walked passed that looks like it might fit your needs is the Bistro that was Pook Bar but I have never eaten in there.. Last year I would have recommended PBG (No aircon but doesn't need it - and it's not Buakhao!) but they changed chef and the food has gone down hill.. EDIT = Baht Buses are back to normal as far as I can see...

Aircon's a tricky one...How about Metro on LK Metro with food from the Golf place brought accross... I- Rovers is aircon but I have only sat outside so don't know if it has pool inside but I have never been served "good food" there .. Retox is aircon but allows smoking and food is iffy, hit and miss.....and I dislike the female boss yelling at the waitresses.....Having somebody serve you in tears is not condusive to a pleasant time... I have just thought of another place but it breaks my heart to say it....Does Retox Xtra (ex Bite Me) have a pool table..???
