First time traveller, hotel suggestions
Bullfrog replied to starbuck1968's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I have been spending quite a few mornings in the Devonshire on soi Lengkee recently. The food is good quality at a reasonable price,it is served promptly by friendly long legged beauties in short shorts, people watching of those leaving the Opey de Place is very entertaining and they do a large carafe of wine for 195 baht with an ice bucket if you wish ( and for Cedar Creek, I wish it)..... They also have rooms but I have no idea what they are like..... If anybody is interested I'll get one of the girls to show me a room........ EDIT = For a first time traveller it would be perfect -
Post deleted...Red deleted ..fine by me..

I love the fact that I got redded for this post......I walked 2 fucking hours today and talked to people rather than reproduce what is said on other forums... Previously I walked fucking hours to ask about Sandy Springs and quiz nights.. Fuck you you lazy cunt that redded me!!
-
Thanks. I shall revert to posting "elsewhere"..as it seems better informed.. I walked a couple of hours today to see for myself........but can't be assed to post what I now know.......... and what I now know aint gonna be posted "elsewhere"..... but why the fuck should I bother

I was down there last week ( to check my PO Box you understand) and they were happily calling people in around 2pm...
-
My immediate concern is for the QV and the visa shop out back....Surely the QV will have a daytime licence .... I may check today..

Thanks.. Neither of the other 2 Scooters appeals to me (day or night), my visits to Le Pub are giving me grief ( for personal reasons I normally stay away from WS), sois Honey and Chayapoom are for ST activity only......Looks like I shall be spending more time in NP and Soi Post Office then..... Bugger!!
-
I arrived at Scooters , soi 6, yesterday just before 11am but it hadn't yet opened which was a surprise because the Tom is normally quite happy to serve me early. I was then told by the cleaner that no bars on soi 6 were allowed to open yesterday before 6pm. Today I spoke to a cashier from one of the bars and she said that for the forseeable future bars can open at 5pm and start serving at 6pm... Apparantly she got a hefty fine (not sure what for) which her boss paid for her... Anyone know WTF is going on...?..

Wonder if this is also Jacko's untold ladyboy story....????

OK Here we go.. Everything was quiet walking down the soi from second road. I stopped outside the entrance to Sandy Spring and noticed a "Bite Me" girl working at King's table so I chatted to her for a bit. - There was construction noise from building work behind King's Table but nothing serious. - The plot next to Sandy Spring was still demolished with bugger all activity going on. Either they are turning it into a flora, fauna or bird sanctuary and your stay at Sandy Spring will be delighful or it will be a construction site with all the noise and inconvenience you are worried ab

Interestingly only a few weekends ago I was checking out their on-line menu. A bottle of conchy el toro reservado was over 2.500 baht...Friendship has it at 419 baht..... I think only soda water in Retox has a higher mark up...

Hua Hin - Pattaya ferry (Where to by tickets online?)
Bullfrog replied to short's topic in Transport in Thailand
So would I..!! I'd love to see alternate pics of the floor of the ferry and the ceiling, with VDO of him turning green and throwing up like the Hamster did on Top Gear.. -
No probs. It gives me an excuse to spend an afternoon in Bodega bar 13/2....whoops...I meant check my PO Box...
-
What soi is it on? I walked bloody miles checking out hotels for my sons' visit in April and can empathise with your concern over construction noise.. Let me know and I'll walk the walk for you...

When I was employable I'd use M&S for socks and Chinos but nowadays have need for neither....I buy decent skiddies from Factory Outlet on Suk and cheap ones that allow more room for my balls to dangle when they need a good airing from Soi Buakhao ...or perhaps that was more info than you wanted to hear..
-
For my upcoming trip to blighty I was gonna buy new skiddies from Buakhao market but then thought bollocks - I'm gonna take my oldest, scabbiest, shit stained, cum stained, threadbare skiddies I have then just chuck 'em in the bin each day. Nobody in UK is gonna want to put their hand inside my pants anyway so who cares??? By the way....What bin should I throw them in? ...... Industrial waste is what I am thinking.....

There are too many things wrong with this coalition of nutters...but this clip captures it very well..
-
My favourite all time film is "The Loneliness of the long distance runner" so I shall go for Tom Courtenay.. TV has to be the actor that played Catweasel...

That is good value...walked passed it many a time............I am sure we can all do the Maths.. EDIT = Where do you think the nearest shop selling wine in a fridge is to there....I'm thinking Wine Connection in the avenue...???
