hi frosty, the 192.168.1.1 is the web page i have to log into every session. I change the password and i go to save/remember password but you guess it ...it always resorts back to the old user and password. Its as if TOT aint allowing changes and they might do it themselves. My router is a speedtouch (cant remember model number and im in uk holidaying just now). Its the model with 4 output LAN and 1 wifi aerial (5 lights on front) The fifth light is red before i connect and then goes green when i change the router web page.

ok frosty... heres another TOT related question since you are in expert mode: 3weeks ago i done the same as th OP. Went to TOT and noticed new packages available. I was originally on their "cyber gold" package (2mb 1000baht). I liked the look of the new 4mb diamond package for 800 odd baht and signed up for that. This is where it gets complicated. Up until now i have never had to log on or sign on for the internet to work. I did when i first installed the modem a few years ago but after i did that i did nothing. (i have since changed computers several times but never reinstalled the mo

Big Boss air systems will service your air for you. Sorry dont have the number to hand but if your stuck i can search for it. The Mr slim is a good high end model and probably just needs the gas topped up (although you may have a leak somewhere). What they will do is top it up and take a pressure reading then pop back in a few days and take another reading.

Ok the heads up was correct...as of today all the emirates prices have risen. The OP got it wrong tho and the increases are 30percent and not his 10percent statement....................grrrrrr How Emirates can justify this hike in these credit crunch times is beyond me.

Computer games and software?
vidman replied to Aussie_20's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Youll pay 150baht for a cd version of the software and 300baht if its burnt on DVD. Sounds good value until you need to buy Adobe CS on 7disks!!!!! Many of the utilities software dont work so be specific if you want a specific program. The playstation games are good value tho (at 80baht) and i have never had a failed one yet. -
Its a good heads up but where did you get your info? Having checked Emirates site they have already sneaking the base prices up a little.

Guy walks into the doctors looking very uptight. "you gotta help me doc, i am disgusted, as i woke up this morning with a boil on my dick" Calm down says the Doc thats not so bad, why are you worried about a boil. He replied "it was Susan Boyle"

I guess you just needed to know all the tricks of travelling: You can pop to the galley and drink as much as you want You can book your seats online. You get to board first with children Look at whats the popular economy dish and when it runs out they give you the biz meals. The fact your plane was delayed means they would have waited for you so take it easy in dubai. Change of flight should have been called to uk as they are always free (esp glasgow number). Unfortunately the cheap ticket price means you pay charge for change. Start collecting skywards miles and get the lounge

I don't care what kind of beer it is, And I don't care that it is free ……. it's still not going to taste the same Served this way!!

Emirates upgrade me regularly to biz class and they give you a fast track immigration card that you take to a few hidden desks BETWEEN the east and west regular halls. No ques and no waiting.

yip stayed in the Fragrance hotel group. There are in an area called gaylang and surrounded by short time brothels. These Brothels mostly cater for the chinese/asian market and are quite pricey (as well as not being very friendly looking). If i remember rightly it was "emerald" i stayed in. The area also has various bars where the freelancers will hang out. (check out the corner bars at the top of the street). (oh and round the corner is a thai restuarant where the isaan ladies hang around) The hotel itself is very clean and new. The reception/security is good and it is very good valu

Its a good price but you could have got the same flight for 409 through net flights. Same flight but they must have a deal with emirates. You still get your points too. (i think emirates are giving double points too on your bangkok leg). remember if they dont have a lounge card then take a laptop as dubai has free wifi. (stop them getting bored)

24 hr schnitzels for 99baht. Think its called gossip cafe on the street beside (left) tuk com. AT the junction of soi14/15 (cats corner bar) there is a thai street bloke that has several fresh curries to take away (starts after 3am). 3rd rd just past soi sophon has a 24hrs noodle restuarant for 25baht (this is where all the thais go for the munchies).

Heres the thing....why not squeeze in a lot of cheap flights just now and then save your frequent flyer points. Simply wait tilll the fares go through the roof and then cash in your points for a free flight that would be worth double what you paid originally. This assumes 2 things: your airline put the prices up within 1 year and they dont change the amount of points you need for the flight.

Bear in mind that TOT standard installation will only take he cable to the outside of your condo. So you need to ask the guy to join it to your existing cable. (you might want to bung em a tip for this).......but it will be cheaper than the 1000baht extra they normally ask for routing a cable to your room. I agree with frosty tho....TOT is shit. Every time it downpours of rain i lose my connection (and this is normally when you want it most).

overly expensive and had a major break-in problem some time ago. Think the tourist lost a huge amount. Took the whole safe away apparently

I go to Samet on a fairly regular basis and over the past few years have thought it has gone downhill somewhat. The accomadation is getting worse and more pricey. It no longer feels like an island retreat the main st from the pier to white sand is very dirty with rubbish everywhere. Having said that, if i was a business man i would surely open a mini-mcdonalds beside the 7-11 on the main st in samet. I guess i would be a millionaire within 1 year. (This only surpasses my "traditional english chippy takeaway" idea for walking st!!!)

On my short trips back to uk i dont carry much clothes etc and on my return the case is packed full of food. My list usually has: Cornflakes (at least 3 big boxes) hp sauce oxo's lentils and broth packs Walkers crisps uk Cadbury chocolate tetley teabags hot chocolate colemans mustard cheese slices Irn Bru jelly babies/roses/quality st as many tins as i can arsed carrying The farang food prices in the supermarkets are stupid now in thailand and this haul saves me a small fortune. (as well as some stuff just aint available). Some may mock but my baggage allowance

Emirates will start there dubai/bangkok airbus very very soon (july methinks). The economy interior doesnt look any different to the 777 tho and it doesnt get you to the destination quicker.

I believe the official line would be that a International driving permit would allow you to drive a bike for the duration of 1 year. It is available from uk main post offices for 5quid and you need to supply a photo and your full uk licence. Although the post office issue it, it is sponsored somewhat by the AA. On the web site they have a list of all the countries that it is valid in. To obtain a thai licence you would first need a Non-tourist visa such as an "non-im O" and a letter showing your condo contract. This would allow you to get a certificate of residency from immigr

The Postal shop/travel agents across from the main post office (soi post office off 2nd rd) have security boxes for rent. They need 2 sets of keys to open so are totally secure from the staff.
