Danny and Sai's Wedding Party at CATZ a gogo
vidman replied to Pieman's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Thanks for the reply Jambo and congratulations to you and your lovely wife! Fair reply and having the owners as friends is a good reason to swing a party in their direction! Great i suppose if you take over the whole place and your just among friends (or new ones from the forum etc). Anyway i thought there would be a good reason....and there was! I wouldn't normally be rude to anyone however i do take exception to being called a "c*^t". Whether it was said in jest or not (maybe it's his style) i dunno. When i'm absolutely pissed and making a "c*^t" of myself....well thats a different matter! Maybe i'll checked out the jello night! cheers -

Is there a reason the party is at this venue? -
Rising Gasoline prices have pushed the moto boys prices up somewhat! They're not the cheap mode of transport that they used to be. Well at least we are narrowing the location of the police pound down a bit. The first bloke said between 2nd rd and 3rd rd......last poster said between 3rd and sukumvit (which seems more likely as more spare land). The one favourite police tow area is on the right hand side just past the bamboo bar on south pat rd. There is legit parking bays but as you get closer to the lights (and police sunshade) this area turns to red/no parking. Every night the cops wait til about 10bikes park then they run a big chain around all the wheels til the pickup boy comes and takes them away. Also watch out on the thappraya rd (end soi diamond etc) as they alternate the parking side from right side to left side (depending on the direction of the wind).

1. Go to social Security for emergency accomodation. 2. Ask social Security for hardship fund. 3. Register with a GP and arrange a refferal to heart specialist. 4. Tell Credit card companies about financial situ and arrange small regular payments(civil case so no worries about prison etc) 5. Contact Tax office for payment plan too. The main problem he has is the airplane journey. If he can pull this off then everything else is do-able. I would stay in Uk till he has sorted his health problems out to a satifactory level and then continue his life in LOS. p.s. I'm not saying the above list is easy but only stating that there is a way out of this problem.

The fare ( aka Fair) is relating to the glasgow "fair" 2 weeks holiday in july. so if he cant get the "fair" then he will take 2 weeks in august! as for henryski..........i dont have to make him look an idiot......he's done that pretty well for himself already. Thank goodness i'm intelligent enough to know that he does not speak for the majority of english people. (who are fine and courteous people). I'm sure they are ashamed of him and his comments. Rule brittania!

Keep us updated with the details of your next party! For the record Ricky, i think sisterz is a superb bar (and that small crazy show-girl is absolutely tops ).....dont know her name but you'll know who i mean! vid

2 that i can think of is Thai house restuarant (next to city hall pattaya north rd) Ruen thai restuarant (across from royal garden second rd) also not really a show but music/band etc is Lakeside park on the sukumvit rd towards Jomtien (on the left in a big lake) They have a area where a band play for 30mins then the thai beegees do a spot then a country band do a spot etc etc.

Who else likes the "tequila lady" in this joint ...she looks like a real go-er!

It does exactly what it says on the tin! Use emirates every time and do the online check-in. No problems whatsoever There is a tab where you can reserve what seat you want when you actually book online too. If your clever you will get maybe 2 seats free beside you on your dubai flight but forget the bangkok one as its always jam packed.

Moonlight Serviced Apartments
vidman replied to valentinoxxx's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
As far as im aware the junction apartments are still owned by the same owners but they have just boarded the joint up through lack of interest in them. They also own "several" key spot "people watching" bars on Walking St that are worth a fortune. Maybe these moonlight serviced apartments will perk the area up and they will re-open them. Certainly the "dead end st" that was at this joint is now opened up and a huge complex has came from nowhere. -
Moonlight Serviced Apartments
vidman replied to valentinoxxx's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I noticed these apartments getting built. They look good both inside and out ,although the soi 17 is a bugger to walk down if your going to walking st. At approx 18,000 per month they are still on the steep side. Across the road , i looked at the "junction" apartments last year.....absolutely huge, seperate kitchen, brand new build, 24hr bar etc etc.......only 13,000 per month.....didnt take it because it looked TOO big and about 1 month later the whole place shut down due to NO customers. It may well be that this place will go the same way. -
Ok a quick chat to the TG and she says: (and shes a right know-it-all). The guarantor has no rights whatsoever to the car. It seems to be all win-win on your side as if you do a runner on the payments etc then the shit will hit her and not you. or in her words " the guarantee person is crazy" hee hee

. ******STOP PRESS******* *******ACTUAL LISTENABLE MUSIC IN PATTAYA******* Stopped by Hooty's Last night and instantly had a friendly welcome from Treacle and his staff. The place was jam-packed with ladies and even the waitresses were dancing around enjoying themselves which lead to a "party" atmosphere. The thing that makes this joint stand out in fun town is definetely the music. Every old boy in the place had a toe tapping experience and i found myself having another beer to see what magic the DJ came up with next. We all ended up with "saturday night fever" on a tuesday night and "video certainly killed the radio star". Paul mentioned a wee party coming up soon but i will let him announce it himself. (in case its private). Re-drinks prices. Well it has to be said that they are on the high-end scale and i do think draft would tip the balance from a GOOD bar into a GREAT bar. Personally speaking i dont penny pinch a few baht if im enjoying myself, but i take the point made by the above posts. Vid

Absolutely no problems here captain. Although i have a "hotmail.com" account as opposed to a ".uk" one. (might be a different server). vid

I assume the bloke bobby was the owner of the now defunct "eat-alls" across from x-cite? I went when it first opened and the food was great quality and plenty of it....about 2 months down the road and the service was terrible and the food looked like it was on a budget....shame. BTW for anybody who likes a nice lasagna.........trust me on this.......neeroys on soi chayapun....120baht (home made and delicious) I have made it my personal crusade to find the best lasagna in patts and this is it!!!

It is a complete dive of a joint. (and i dont remember the price but it wasnt 500baht....more like 650). You wouldnt want to leave ANY valuables in the room whatsoever and tha safes at reception are only available to open up until 9pm. So if you dont plan ahead and have suitable cash//atm on you beforehand then you can end up with everything locked away til morning. It has got location going for it...beach rd and on the baht bus route, but there are much better choices out there.
