  1. A doubter, Well try a litmus test Use Everbuying , pick a lastest, bestest, China item and go chase your tail around the TukCom 'mai mee/ mai roo' droles trying to buy it (or even try & find someone on the same page or wavelength of understanding whats actually 'out there' and at what price) 'Official' resellers of gen items at 'full up' prices...try and find one who'll give you an 'official' VAT receipt for refund on departure
  2. Seriously TukCom is way down the food chain of supply. Stuff often outdated and under spec'd Everbuying would be a better reference / buying medium for whats current from China http://www.everbuying.net/ .
  3. Do it all on line here: https://www.bfsasia.com/PremiumService/our_premiunairportservicebooking.php
  4. Find this 'down the nose' fiscal sneer that's prevalent on all the Thai forums to less than well heeled retirees a bit myopic TBH They have what they have - and quoting from above the 1600 a day figure may not be two whores a night and jing-a-bell spending but I'll wager it furnishes a better existence than waiting to die with 1600THB equiv or whatever back in the 'old country'
  5. Having tried in exasperation to get another one to pair up with this (as I had a multi monitor itch to scratch) With Mai Mee / Mai Roo / No Hab Mister still resonating in my ears I bought a pair of Dell gaming Monitors and realise now that 2 x 27" ers would have been overkill!! Anyhow that leaves me with this perfectly functioning excellent condition Samsung LS27B370HS/XT eating up space Everything intact complete with power supply. Fed by VGA or HDMI at 1920 X 1080 Bought new by me in Tukcom Sri Racha and its been in Pattaya ever since Specs here: http://www.samsung.com/us/business/support/owners/product/LS27A550HS/ZA Nearest Thai offered 'Mai Mee' is this lesser spec (no HDMI) : http://www.pantiphotsale.com/goods.php?id=60782 Im not one for talking it up and trying for some mad figure over retail (the Thailand malaise it seems) the first with 5 X 1000 Baht notes takes it away Contact by PM
  6. Best mix for Cattle Class travel is FF Gold card and BFS meet with the buggy The Gold card gets your luggage (and lots of it) 'Priority', so if all comes right its a cart ride up to fast track, a lively immigration transit, bags among first off the belt, and a painless escorted march through customs
  7. They were going to dip the Indian Must be pretty fookin desperate for a third share in a bottle of water
  8. The sooner the junta rolls over and allows the crooks to be correctly voted back into power the quicker the Smile will be back in the Land Of
  9. If you are located where I think you are (bungalows around a central pool and a small apartment block) Id take the insurance as its by no means the first time its flooded and doubtless wont be the last
  10. ^^^^ This If your palate has been spoiled with real Dim Sum (like from some of the best places in Guangzhou) then there's nothing in Thailand that comes close. There's one or two tolerable places in Yarowat But None in Pattaya
  11. It is actually quite a difficult one If the stones are a few carat weight and high grade they become viable for a swap out to a lesser grade stone. At a lower level of scam they could just be swapped out for CZ's or other synthetics The only prophylactic for the former (other than blind trust) is marked, assayed and certificated stones. And remember without markings all the papers in the world still only leave you in the 'he said, she said, yes it is, no it isnt' scenario in the event of problems For the latter a simple electronic diamond tester cures them. Beep the diamonds in plain sight before you hand them over, & beep them again before accepting them back. These can be got on line, or with a bit of leg work in Yawoarat.
  12. Or laugh up his sleeve as most jewellers do when confronted by a bluffster
  13. In another ten youll be either subjugated or headless
  14. Well just booked my next Etihad flights and cant concur with the above. They have restructured the baggage allowances is all. In my instance (UK/Thailand) what used to be a base 30kgs with no restrictions on the number of checked in items in cattle has become 1 bag of 23kgs BUT whereas my Gold Guest Card would have previously given me a 15kgs additional allowance - I now get one additional bag of 32kgs.. so now 55kgs compared to 45kgs before the revision.
  15. PuPen & Mum Aroi both excellent ...but can on occasion get seriously packed out A wee trip south to Preecha or even Thale next door very good too If you want to push the boat out a little and go up market Rimpa Lapin gets two thumbs up But please, walking street seafood joints, always nought but a sad disappointment
  16. Interesting stance He should christen it the 'Please knock me out' defensive posture .
  17. +1 Used to fly Thailand to China regularly To epitomise the above, I once watched incredulously as a spit hawking Chinese mainlander being unable to fathom the intricacies of a bi-folding toilet door managed to find the release bolt. Thereafter scragged the entire door half off its mounting , climbed over it and relieved himself in full view. Cabin crew should have cattle prods .

  19. I bought one a while back to replace a PCX (price basically on a par - price quoted here incl. the extras which if Yamaha add ons will be pricey) Not so much a stability thing, but double the brakes / suspension / rubber up front gives it 'big bike' front end handling thru bends and over bumps A little heavier than the PCX, and a little less top end speed (hardly a consideration in getting from one Pattaya traffic debacle to the next). But more positive handling and its a true step-thru not a clamber over
  20. Maybe I'll get my drive tarmac'd .
  21. AliExpressBaBa & the 40(000) Thieves
  22. Aliexpress does have buyer protection But you can get embroiled in V e r y protracted waits (especially while some crazed Chinese chancer decides just not to ship) or last minute cancellation of order by Aliexpress) .
  23. They are generally good but you can 'kiss' the occasional 'frog' with deliveries But a far better first port of call than traipsing around town looking at a succession of bovine expressions and hearing the 'no hab' mantra
  24. Youre not far off I'd give it 3 hours prior for check in and 2 hours travel
