Ok a hint for hotels in Phuket. Many hotels are NOT guest friendly or they will charge like a wounded bull if you try to take TG to your room. joiners fees will cost a fortune so enquire before you book. ie avoid hotel chains. try the lamai hotel (google it) doesnt have a pool but you are 5 mins from the beach. http://phuketdir.com/lamaihotel/ maybe even call them direct for a deal rather than use a booking site? the orchid residence and summer breeze are both great options too. you are going during the peak season so unfortunately prices will be up everywhere you go. enjoy

Well opinions are like arseholes ... everyone has one and here is mine. ummmm my opinion not my arsehole. BKK great for shopping and girls. yes spend a few days there. Dynasty, Nana or Majestic hotels. Phuket great for beaches, diving and tourist stuff and girls. Orchid residence, Summer Breeze hotel or Lamai hotels. Chiang Mai great for culture, trekking, shopping and its cheap. Less girls. Montri Hotel. Pattaya best nightlife anywhere. Not a pretty place but girl heaven. Hotels... take your pick, read reviews. You need to pick what you want to do most, girls or tour

i didnt think the flipper gave discounts! in fact i didnt think they even had low season prices. i have stayed there twice and liked it a lot. am still fishing for a possible alternative before i arrive next week. wifi would be handy.

i think you need to be careful. her attitude could spread through your venue like a cancer. if the other girls see her making a good wage by not being barfined, others may follow that line of thinking. could be the thin edge of the wedge!

why would anyone want to barfine ricky's sister? thats a bit too weird even for me!

another option may be, i think there is a shuttle from muang to poomi. take that then get your transport to pattaya from poomi airport.

i have stayed at the flipper soi 8 twice and enjoyed it but will be reconsider paying more money in oct to for noise. must be thai logic.

orchid residence or summer breeze on soi san sabai opposite Bangla rd. both guest friendly and crawling distance from the bars. also lamai inn and lamai hotel on rat u thit rd are a bit cheaper.

Silkair which is owned by Singapore airlines run frequent flights between Pkt and Sin also. Donnie, my time management on my next trip will allow me to spend a week with my Tg in phuket, have a 3 day rip to angkor, then i will go solo mongoring in udon, chiang mai and then down to pattaya for desert. another week in patong, then home. GFE , culture and mongering all in 1 trip. Up to me. ps. TG informs me that a 3 day all inclusive tour from phuket to angkor is a reasonable 8000bt .. ish

according to my TG friend from phuket, you need to fly to BKK before going to cambodia. there you get a visa on arrival at the airport. she and i are considering visiting angkor wat later in the year.

plan A.. send her packing with an excuse like... i only have a licence to have X number of girls work in my bar, sorry. plan B .. put her barfine up to 1200 bt because she is so 'valuable'. when no-one takes her at this price she will get the shits and leave.

try the major hospital in Bkk... Buva , buma, Bather something. they must have a website. people travel from all over the world to get fixed there. the place even has a msdonalds and a starbucks. i talked to an american doctor last time in Bkk and he had nothing but praise for the place.

if i am ever crazy enough to use something out of the minibar, i go straight to a 7-11 the next morning and replace it. its handy to have a fridge to keep your own stuff in.

I use them all really. I try and find a price on the net, then i call them and ask about their prices and availability to compare. If the place sucks when i get there, i walk to somewhere else. For me location is very important as being away from the action or having to get transport all the time is a waste of time. Not worth the hassle to save 100 or 200 bt.

i used finnair on a sector from bkk to helsinki a few years back and they were quite good.
