The closure is due to the owner of the site ( including many shops/bars on either side of the U-Too ) wishing to re-develop the area. We have been assured that we will have a site, in the new complex of a similar size, available to us in the not to distant future. I will keep you informed as soon as anything concrete is known or if indeed we decide to open at a new location. Please check back from time to time for any new details.

Stayed there the last 2 holidays and will the next. No noise issues at all. The price is very good with brekky included, if you ask they will do you Thai food (which I love) instead of an English breakfast Bert is a real top bloke and will help you in any way he can. IMHO the place can not be beaten its a shame it took me 20 years to find it. And the location is great also right on the baht bus route 200 yards to the beach and 30 yards to soi 6

Tropical Berts soi 6/1 Good rooms,great host,good food and best of all LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION :D Also right on the baht bus route or a short walk to beach road. Plus I like to stay on the west side of 2nd road not having to cross it when I am pissed.

win I had that very same room the 2 weeks prior to your stay(checked out 31st dec). I agree with you its a great place to stay,at a very good price. The staff are very good.

The rooms on the 1st couple of floors has it own entrance so no need to go through the bar/restaurant . Ladyboys on soi 6/1 are easily avoided by walking down soi 6 which is pretty dead before 12 noon and is very entertaining walk after this time.

Paid 700 baht a night.

Just spent 2 weeks at Tropical Berts 2nd rd end of soi 6/1. Great value for money with very friendly staff. They have recently added in room safes which is a bonus. Smack on the baht bus route also.

24 hours after and no pain at all. And to be fair they area lot whiter looking than the 1st photo I took straight after,maybe due to the bad light in the hotel room.
