  1. If you need to fax internationally then there are not many places that will do it. Even places that do have a fax machine will not be willing/able to send internationally. I ran around for a few hours my last trip looking for one that does, internet cafes are not where you'll find it. Finally found one in the shopping center on 2nd Road and Soi 1 I believe it was. It's on the right hand side as you're heading towards the Dolphin Roundabout, and inside the plaza shopping area indoors, 2nd floor, is a UPS or Fedex station. They will be able to fax internationally for you. I had to fax a copy of
  2. $1million+ for a house in Thailand? And it's not even located directly looking out to a beach/ocean? You've got to be crazy to pay that asking price. Whoever the owner is must think foreigners are REALLY stupid and rich. I think that price will come back down to a more reasonable 2-3 million baht if the seller is serious and not looking for a scam. The whole cannot own land thing is enough to stop me from ever trying to buy a house in Thailand, if you can lose it to some Thai you WILL lose it to some Thai. Anything that CAN go wrong WILL go wrong. I may however consider buying a condo that you
  3. I've been given the receipt slips for the past year now.
  4. This is why I never ever give any panhandlers money where I'm from. Lots of lowlife scumbags walking around just asking for money like they're entitled to it just because they asked. It's a god damn shame. Most of these bums will just take the money they collected and go buy drugs with it, or alcohol. If you offer them food they'll spit at you like you've insulted them. Fuck them, I don't feel bad at all when I walk by and ignore them with my chin up in the air knowing I'm a higher being than the pile of shit they are. Another thing that's really been irritating me is some bums who've set
  5. I would have recommended that too since I loved my stay there in February. However he's bringing a family and will probably need a two bedroom unit which will be priced on the high end. I'd recommend Residence Garden they have two bedroom units.
  6. I have barfined more girls from Babydolls than any other gogo. I've barfined from BD every trip.
  7. That's completely it. Each time I've been in Heaven's A all the punters are sitting around waiting for the wonder, as Gabor would put it. HA has one of the most impressive lineups, but after each dance session the entire group disappears to the back room. The owner cannot tell me that all I have to do is motion for one of them to come sit with me, because I have done so and been ignored, several times. I rarely have a problem getting a girl over in a gogo, I'm normally fighting off the ones I'm not interested in. So if I have a problem with getting attention in HA, it is safe to say most other
  8. I also enjoy the darkside, however think its more of a scene for daytime bargoers rather than a jumping off point for night time crawling. You can spend a lot of time in the darkside bars and lose track of time.
  9. Fucking idiots. I guess some guys do deserve a beatdown of epic proportions.
  10. I found plenty of freelancers before 2am. Walking St. disco gets going earlier than the others, like around 11pm. Lucifers maybe just a little after that. Insomnia gets going the latest, but many freelancers will be downstairs in the iBar before it gets going. Haven't been to Marine disco yet.
  11. I was looking around the internet for Thailand vacations and happened upon this board. I was thinking of staying on a beach somewhere and just relaxing, then after reading the TR's on here I was amazed such a place existed. I actually didn't believe the stories, and had to see it for myself. It took me 3 years to finally make my maiden voyage when all the circumstances in life fell into place. I've made 3 trips in less than a year, and will continue to come back until I get bored of the place, which probably won't be happening any time soon.
  12. Jesus Christ you can BUY a good condition Iphone 3GS for that amount! You got ripped worse than the guy who had his phone switched.
  13. For 1200 baht a night there's Residence Garden for 1450 baht if you ask them for the special. A little over but they have two pools and very private. There's Pattaya Bay Resort, one of the Sabai Empress/Resort. Or you can go with a condo from Dancewatcher, probably one of his Jomtien ones. Probably the best value would be Pattaya Bay Resort, only downside I hear from them is the thin walls.
  14. All the Japanese places in Central Festival Pattaya are good. One I went to that has sofa life seating near the windows was kinda high end and delicious. The cube steaks were really good.
  15. I eat at Mike's Mexican every trip. Once I even ate there 3 straight days for lunch. Their tacos and burritos are just as good as any we have in California. I think you got off on the wrong foot with the place and ordered the wrong thing.
  16. I agree, if living in the Bay Area where I'm from that's just barely getting by. But there are also many who make much less who somehow get by, rooming with big families in a small house, section 8, etc. $40K in the cheap Midwest/Southern states would be pretty good pay, certainly middle class. I think the poor in the US are just as poor as those in Thailand. Poverty is poverty. I don't think about how much money others have, because there's always someone who has more money than you. I'm just thankful for what I have and what I make, life is more blissful that way.
  17. I would say if Thais are making $40k/yr US that would put them in upper middle class, but not rich or hi-so. Even some successful bar girls can make that much.
  18. I don't know of any bars in America that have a bell.
  19. And where might this be? Was it a open beer bar that shares toilet with other bars? If so the toilet is not operated by the bar, so out of their control. If toilet is inside the bar, I've never had that happen before and yes that would be a shame. What bar and where?
  20. My last trip I actually spent a good sum of money on food with TG's. Ate at some fancy places. I usually eat more farang food than thai food. A lot of Thai food is too spicy for me. Just a tip, the Royal Cliff Resort out in Jomtien and near Kinnaree has a great restaurant. It overlooks a really nice view and the TG had a good omelet and I had a tasty pizza.
  21. 10,000 baht /day is excellent budget. You may even find it hard to spend that much at all since you're a newb. And not including room either. I normally don't budget as much but have been guilty of spending more than 10,000 baht on more than a few occasions. Most days I can get by just fine with 6000 baht per day or less and I can still ST in afternoon and LT at night, I just don't like to go crazy with ladydrinks, and I don't drink much myself.
  22. Even if there were no trash on Pattaya Beach I'd still think it was filthy. Just the sand alone is filthy nasty. Its feels stained with grease from all the food droppings.
  23. No No No. You've got it all wrong. My point is I couldn't justify spending more for a lobster in Thailand than I would back in the USA. And I do eat a lot of lobster, so its not like I feel like I missed out. Also did not want to possibly pay the 'farang' price. I was quoted 3000baht for the damn lobster. Its just food. Ever wonder why Indians are so cheap in Pattaya? Because they don't make as much money as Westerners and everything is cheaper in India than Thailand. That's why they can't justify spending big like some of us and they get stereotyped.
  24. I'm glad I didn't pay the rip off prices now. Maybe next time I'll try Marine Seafood and see how much they're charging for lobster and prawns.
