We've gotten away with it before. Chase Bank offered us a deal, we took it, cashed the miles in, and dumped them. Two round trip tickets to Hawaii. We put our bills on autopay to that card for three months, that's all we had to do! There's really two phases to this. The other side of it is cashing in miles correctly. I can get one free international trip for 60,000 miles, that is the best deal I have with my partners today. Other partners are 70,000 and much higher. I am going to do an experiment. I will not reveal what it is until if and when the miles are in t

We just signed up for a card that will pay for one-way to Asia as a signing bonus. We have to charge $5K in the first 3 months. It's 2 miles per dollar spent, twice what we have now. We'll have enough to do the trip in a few months, given what we have in mileage accounts already. Money should be spent on family. Because that produces pussy. In developing our strategy, I read some articles. Some guys cycle credit cards, signing up for the bonus and then cancelling the card one day after getting the rewards. They keep a spreadsheet on all the cards they are juggling so

Worlds colliding: Russian girls in Pattaya
torque replied to nickman70's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Sure, wonderful people. Great example: I was in a car load of people coming back from a visit to a remote project area and we came upon a dog walking on the side of the road. The driver swerved over on purpose to hit the dog. When the vehicle hit the dog it hurt him badly but he wasn't dead, and suffering terribly - howling in agony. All of the passengers thought that was hilarious, but when they saw how horrified I was and demanding to go back and help the dog they started insisting the dog had not been hit. steamer mentioned how rude they can be blocking people on the sidewalk -
Worlds colliding: Russian girls in Pattaya
torque replied to nickman70's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I don't think they are attractive, and not just physically. It wouldn't matter if she was the current Miss World - their attitude is so cold that it makes them unattractive. I spoke limited Russia in the years I was working there, but that had nothing to do with why they were such cold people. Decades of communism killed a lot of human qualities in people like compassion, empathy, and courtesy. I've been to many countries where I did not speak the language but the people were warm as can be. In Russia they told me not to smile, to walk with my head down and a scowl on my face. My handlers -
So you're saying I'll be back at 42 baht per dollar, and girls surging into P4P from all corners of Thailand at the same time as the domestic debt-backed boom goes bust. Sounds good to me. :)

I noticed how you are relentlessly evading talking about your own OP - the claim that there is a POPULAR myth in existince about ALL Thai girls wanting to marry Falangs. Apparently, you have plenty of time to desperately comb through someone's entire posting history trying to find some out-of-context "gotchya". But you can't seem to find even a single person seriously saying ALL Thai girls want to marry a Falang, let alone show it is a POPULAR myth.
-
Get a grip on why you are being slammed so hard by so many lately: being intentionally nasty after asking people their opinion The point was to explain Thai girls are attracted to a lot of things having nothing to do with being a Falang per se, which you know is true, but you are being argumentative just for spite. That's right, in the very post you quote-mined from I would have been saying that the girls like a guy that does not drink. This is a statement about what Thai girls like, not something I am claiming moral high ground with. I couldn't care less that you drink. And you

Like I said, you aren't very honest. YOU are the one who started this with a claim about POPULAR myths, in both the title and the OP: I have been hammering you for choosing your number one POPULAR myth to be something that is not a popular myth at all. You also just quoted someone who, just like you, is pretending this is a myth... but not quoting anyone saying it. Instead, it is another lame straw man asserting that it is a myth but disagreeing with it. So that's where you find this so-called myth: stated by people are "disproving" it. We have yet to see where

I'll be there for four months this year. I won't hear anyone stating what you claim to be a myth. A myth is something prevalent, not something only an idiot believes. Absolutely. I don't drink, smoke, or gamble. University Professor. Athlete. You'll find that combination is very highly respected in Thailand. None of those are "Falang". That's why you could not quote me saying "falang" was the reason I had so much opportunity for marriage. You are not a very honest person and that's another thing Thais don't like much. When they see you going so far out of yo

You pretended there was a myth that ALL Thai girls want to marry falangs. You haven't presented any evidence that this myth is in existence - just exaggerated what someone else said.
-
That is not even close to saying ALL of them want to MARRY a falang. I've had a lot of them say the same thing to me. These statements are not coming from the top-end University girls who have been prepared their whole lives by professional class parents for professional class husbands. The Issan farm girl with a 6th grade education is not in the running for a Thai investment banker. For that class of girl, yeah - lazy drunks are in her option set. and she wants to do better.
-
I have never seen anyone make that claim. Some observe that many bargirls would rather be married to a farang than working in the bar. But that is a completely different statement.

Many mental health disorders appear with mild effect early in adulthood and grow progressively worse to the point that without outside intervention they become exactly like this. Textbook case, so common across the homeless. There are some quite idiotic suggestions about "Thailand" eating him up or maybe being a sponsor or barowner. I lost my closest internet friend to Bipolar, watching her go from a major California City government department head, running their whole computer information system to a nearly helpless person being cared for. We've lost touch now. This is what mental

Why would I take offense? Not sure what you mean here with this broadcasting of bringing this girl to Pattaya and then trying to shame people for thinking you were the kind of guy that would *gasp* do bargirls. I mean it is unthinkable to actually infer a foreigner in Pattaya posting on a mongering board would... do bargirls. Way out of line. Shocking. And if you aren't then my opinion is just as good as anyone's, which is why bring sand to the beach...
