Papillon your so right. Vic is a first class arse ole and like you i would rather sleep in the street than stay there. He couldnt give a toss about his paying customers as i found out. Thing is i had paid 4 nights deposit before i arrived so the twat kept that when i left on the second day. Saying to me it was tough luck.

I agree the hotel is not guest friendly, i was told that they didn't allow unregistered guests access to the rooms. This was when i went in May to ask about their guest policy as i was thinking of using the Hilton for my next holiday. Not now.........booked into the Marriott for October.

Den be carefull about Jomtien area as i made the mistake of booking into a hotel there for 1500bt a night and found the place over-run with Ruskies. Loud mouths and real ignorant types thats the women aswell. Seems a lot of hotels in that area have the same problem. Dont bother mate, unless your a Ruskie ofcourse lol

Hi Guys, Just got home 3 days ago and stayed in soi 6 but at Queen Vic which has become my favourite place on 6. However i did pop into Berts for the odd evening meal which was superb, i did like the Fish and chips at berts, good food. As for Ladyboys!!!! well every day and night i used to run the Gauntlet down to beach road and was always getting the same old---" one drink please,,, have room upstair" GOD they drive you mad. There are too many Ladyboys now in soi 6 but they just jump out on you despite the NO THANKS GO AWAY, every time. Still despite the odd day of chilly temps i had a gre

Yes Tonemar, a decent hotel is one that reply's to your enquirey, I would check out the ones members here have recommended throughout this forum and send them a mail. I stay at the Queen vic on soi6 and somtimes the Lord nelson on same soi and the owners always reply to bookings within 24 hours. Good luck buddy

I always travel China business from Norwich via Amsterdam and think the airline is very good for the price, in fact can fly their First class for the price almost of other airlines business class. I always use Airline network to book. Would not use the website for the reasons others have said, ie no Atol protection.

They weren't when i walked in and asked last november. I got a " you must check in with lady " and cannot take person back to room. Nice hotel if you have a GF and check in with you other wise dont bother

Hi Steve, Last time i checked out the place i asked at the front desk and they told me bt500 to bring lady back, so i told them to stuff it and walked away. This was last March so unless theyve had a change of heart then yes you have to pay a joiners

Hi, anyone stayed at the Queen vic soi 6 lately? Just want to know if theyre still banging and crashing doing room alterations. Every time i stay they seem to be doing some work which tend to involve early morning banging and drilling noise. Last time was back in April they were fitting out new furiture in a room and moving an internal window. Dont get me wrong, i do love the place and vic is a great guy.Just wondered if any other people found the same when ever they stayed there.

Hi Spud, Up to about a week ago there was a sign in my room at the Whitehouse saying NO SMOKING only on the Balcony. So i would guess thats still there. I dont smoke so that didnt bother me but im sure nipping to the Balcony for a smoke cant be to much hassle. I had a great shower with no water problems at all. The only part about the hotel that i didnt like was they stopped serving the free Breakfast at 11am, then you had to pay the bht 95 for it. Needless to say i only made the free breaki about twice

Ive just come back 2 days ago from staying at Whitehouse on soi 13 so i went to have a look at the new hotel over the road. I was not that impressed with the rooms. The bedding looked old, proberly taken from the older hotel. Rooms seemed to have a musty smell about them. As said Standard was being offered at Bht 900 a night. Im glad i stayed at the Whiehouse as room was superb for the Bht 1250 i paid. Put the AA hotel to shame for a few bhts more. Still you might like the place, every person has there own view on whats good and bad for rooms. Good luck

The place is opposite Tuk Com on Soi Flamingo hotel. I stayed in early June for 2 weeks. I just turned up and they had 1 lg room available for my period. They were very good value for money but there was a few things i didnt like. The rooms you pay for up front plus you leave a deposit to cover damages and elec / water costs. I also asked about booking on line from the UK and they said i would have to do a bank transfer of the money as they do not take Credit cards. I just arrive and go down to the drop off area. There's always cars going back to pattaya empty. Ive even just given a bt400 tip to a driver just so he gets a bit of money instead of returning empty.

I send them the 2 nights thru their Thai pay system. Cant see any problem with this. I like the hotel and know and trust Vic. So if your serious about the booking then just send the money. Ive sent them 2 emails for booking about 2 months ago about 2 weeks apart. I didnt get one reply. So as far as im concerned they can go whistle through there arses. I wouldnt stay with a bunch of ignorant twats like that if they paid me to do so. Instead got replys and booking within 1 day with Whitehouse on Soi 13, great response from somone who values good business.

I remember back in the early 90s when i first started comming to Thailand the rates were very low. USD about 24 bht, and one £ was 35bht. Of course things then were a lot cheaper then, a Heineken would cost 40bht and a Singha was 30bht or less. I never paid more than 700bht for a good room and bar fines were about 150 - 200 bht. You paid the girls short time 200bht and all night 500bht was a good price. So even thou the rate was low then prices matched. However today the rate gets lower but i dont see the room rates getting lower or the other prices on beer or bars going lower. The times ar
